Increasing your adsense CTR is the easy part once you are an experience adsense publisher but, increasing the adsense CPC might be very difficult as Google has no direct way of finding how much each ads costs on your website.
For newbies, definitely their first move is to google "how to increase adsense cpc?" and commonly, websites/blogs will appear saying that they got tips for you on how to increase your CPC. But, are the methods being revealed by these websites working? We here in Web Junkies have been blogging for almost a decade (long before this blog was created) and, we can say that almpst every post who offers increase in adsense cpc are already outdated.
ADSENSE HAS EVOLVED! It looks really complesx now. The old adsense was really easy and all those guides on how to increase your cpc has chances to work very well for you but now, you're lucky to make one work.
Other sites will say that ad section targeting is the way to increase cpc but its not, because ad section targeting focuses on ad relevancy which means your be increasing ctr. Also, there are others who says that blocking low cpc ads is the solution. But the question is, how to know that your ads is a low cpc ads. Much more, they offer a claimed list of low cpc ads that you should block to increase your cpc. It might work for them but how sure are you that it will work for you?
We are not pro bloggers here, all we have is experience and, we want to share our experience using adsense. So, here's some tips on increasing your adsense cpc.
1. Plan your website/blog ahead
Don't create a website/blog just based on your ideas alone. You need a lot of researching to help you know if the site you'll create does have potential source of traffic and revenue. Research is the first tip we can give to you. Use the Adword Keyword Tool to find out whether or not to pursue your ideal blog. 2. DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING ON YOUR ADSENSE MENU
Try not to touch anything on your adsense menu. If you haven't got enough knowledge yet on what's the function menu, then stay away from the button that activates it. Also, DO NOT BLOCK ADS. Like we said earlier, you can't really say that the ads don't perform well unless it has a reporting showing how good or how bad it is. The adsense website doesn't have the solution to your problem, your site/blog itself is the solution (see #3).
3. As always, quality content is a must.
Once you have the most brightest idea after finishing step 1, then it's time to create content. But not just any content, it must be a content with high quality. Check out this guide on how to write quality content.
4. Target countries which has high ad costs.
You can basically see what country pays the most on online advertising by simply going to your adsense account and pressing the "Countries" menu. Instead of wasting time on tinkering your adsense, make your life simple by simply blogging for countries which pays more for online advertising.
