How To Unlock Brawl Master Achievement
To start a fight, go to the desired location and talk to the bookie. He’s the one who will handle your prize afterwards, too. You have to beat all 14 fighters spread across the land. First tackle the ones in Velen, they’re the easiest. Move on to Novigrad afterwards, leaving Skellige Isles for the end.
When you defeat the first opponent in the area, two more will be marked on your map. When all three are down, you’ll have the chance to face off against the local champion. After the three champions are all down, there will be two more fights.
The first is against a ghost that is haunting the arena in Hov. Let him defeat you – this will break his curse. Talk to the guardsmen in the tower next to the arena. When you come to Hov next time, you’ll get the chance to fight the last opponent.
Fistfighting locations
- Inn at the Crossroads (Velen)– inside the tavern
- Lindenvale (Velen) – the yard behind the notice board
- Blackbough (Velen) – by the blacksmith in the south-west
- Crow’s Perch (Velen) – in the big plaza in the north-west
- Hierarch Square (Novigrad)– at the inn east of the signpost
- Southern Gate (Novigrad)– turn left immediately after you enter, then walk until you see the fight
- Portside Gate (Novigrad)– in a yard, to the right after you enter
- Glory Gate (Novigrad)– by the well, in the square south of the gate
- Kaer Trolde Harbor (Skellige Isles)– in front of the inn, north-east of the signpost
- Arinbjorn (Skellige Isles) – west of the signpost
- Harviken (Skellige Isles) – north of the signpost
- Uriall Harbor (Skellige Isles)– in the arena, north-east of the town
- Hov (Skellige Isles)– in the arena, in the southern part of town
- Hov (Skellige Isles)– in the arena, in the southern part of town

There are 14 fistfights that you must win to unlock the Brawl Master trophy / achievement. After winning a fight you will receive a fistfighting questline for that region. You can then track this side quest to see the next fight highlighted on the map. It doesn't matter in what order you do the first 3 fights of each map. But the fourth fight (champion) is only unlocked after the other 3 fighters have been defeated.
The fights get increasingly harder with every map. If you have too much trouble, then lower the difficulty in the game options. The basic strategy for every fight is to counter (or dodge) an opponents attack, then use 3 quick strikes to hurt him.
The fights are available at any time. Just walk up to the Bookie to start fighting. If you lose a fight you can replay it by talking to the Bookie again (or load last checkpoint). Unlocking the very last fight requires you to complete a side quest to get rid off a wraith that haunts the arena. Let the wraith defeat you in combat and talk to the guards in the watchtower near the arena to unlock the last fight. If you die against the champion of champions you need to reload the last save game to try again.
