PVE Brawler/Ronin Evasive Build Guide in Aura Kingdom

This is a guide for Brawler/Ronin with EVA Build. We are going to make use on whatever Brawler and Ronin has to offer. Of course, Brawler won't be any better than any other DPS class but it will perform decently in PvE with just the right gears and the right skills.

First, watch below some videos of Katar/Tachi doing some damage to enemies. The video below does not use this build. It's only purpose is to show you why you should pursue a Brawler/Ronin.

Pros
- i-Frame ultis
- Decent DPS
- Has a skill that you can literally dance on the red carpet
- Can deal AOE damage
- Has a ranged skill (If build right, you can 1HKO anyone using this skill)
- Tanky (You can even solo party dungeons with the right gears and lifeleech weapons)
- Decent HoT (3 HoT + 1 self-heal buff)

Cons
- Since most Tachi skill are AOE skill, they are not really that useful in certain circumstances
- Long cooldown for Tachi skills

Stats

Offensive
DMG: Invest all your stat point here.
CRIT: No need to invest anything here because Brawler can obtain enough CRIT solely from envoy path, gears etc.
SPD: Optional. If you want faster DPS and lower cooldown, you can invest some of the stat points here if you willing to loose some DMG for more SPD.

Defensive
HP: Invest all your remaining stat points here. That doesn't mean you have to go full HP unless you are so rich.
DEF: Ofc, low levels need to invest everything on DEF. But once you reach Lv 60+ and getting the right gears, you can capped DEF just by fortify all your gears but you still need to invest some stat points on DEF if you want to overcapped it.

Since we are doing an EVA build, +20 gears (or +15 gears at least) is needed to secure a good survivability. That will require a lot of funding, thus why EVA builds are expensive.

EVA: Put enough points until you have around 83% - 85% EVA. Your passive Water Charge and buffs will capped it for you. How much stat points to be invested in EVA depends on your funding.

Note: EVA build are quite an expensive build. So, reducing stat points on EVA so you can put it on DEF is necessary if you have low funds. However, this is a temporary solution until you get enough resources to +20 all your gears and if possible, with 130% DEF bonus.

Envoy Path

Here's is an example of my Envoy Path at Lv 70:
But what really matters is:

Flame Charge
- DMG +15% when full stacked will help a lot, not only in term of offensive approach but for masteries as well, such as The Best Defense and Capioera. If you choose Sakura build, you can still get this node at late end game.

Secret Techniques
- The reason is similar to the above but this is a must have to both Sakura build and Blaze build.

Water Charge
- Gives 10% EVA and 5% DMG taken reduction when fully stacked. This is required in order to capped your EVA. It's a must have for EVA-build Brawlers.

Truth Seeker
- Only useful for EVA-build Brawlers and it is a must have. It will provide random abnormal status when successfully evade.

Charge Master
Get it if you need more Crit DMG, especially when you are switching from Devourer set to Lv 65 set and switching Beholder's Tachi to Bereft's Tachi. However, this is optional.

Combo Skill (Optional)

Gale Combo
- Other than give AoE damage, it can restored you HP very efficiently if you use nocturnal core/ gears with lifesteal effect.

Midnight Cherry Blossom
- Provide -10% DMG debuff. This is a must if you opt for Sakura build.

Crescent Assault
- Crescent Assault skill DMG is as high as Lotus Strike. it's a good skill when it come to giving burst damage while being immune to any attack during animation.

Masteries

General Specification

Piercing Swiftness
- Have ACC reduction. Very useful in PvP, might be useful in Skytower but not useful in your average PvE dungeon.

Swift Cruely
- Adds skill damage when using this skill, which boost your damage efficiency in dealing damage against mobs/bosses.

Soaring Flash Dance: Rond
- Adds DMG reduction to target. Very useful in PvE if you can properly use this skill in your rotation.

Attack Specification

Zeal
- Zeal is probably the best since it has 10% chance of inflict additional damage for efficient DPS.

Divine Power
- More DMG, more boost on The Best Defence/Capioera mastery

Tactical Specification

Organized Sabotage
- Provide 25% chances of damage reduction which is important for survivability.

Break Defense
- Recommend if you have decent survivability. This will boost your DPS.

Defense Specification

Extreme Speed
- Move SPD is a godly effective for pure melees, especially when it comes to dodging red carpets. You should take this if you have no worries on DEF and DMG taken.

Courage
- If you want more DMG taken, choose Courage instead. This is more effective than Extreme Speed to be honest.

Advanced Specification

Suffocating Flames
- Boost SnF damage for more DPS efficiency when tanking mobs.

Null Strike
- This make Shadow Strike more effective in dealing DoT to mobs.

Dragon's Fury: Chidori
- Gives DMG reduction when using Dragon's Fury, important for survivability.

Special Skill

The Best Defense
- If you can capped your EVA without the help of Capoiera, you can use The Best Defense to boost your DEF.

Capoiera
- Capoiera comes in handy when you are unable to maintain your EVA between 83%-85% at a certain level. This mastery is also useful if you are thinking of reducing stat points on EVA so you can spend it on HP or DEF instead.

Gears

Lv 50 setup

Main:

Meira Freezing Katar
The best main weapon for Lv 50 setup. It has hidden life-steal proc and you can save gold because you spend tokens instead of gold.

Note: you can opt for Lv 50 orange rank Katar with Nocturnal core if you can't afford to lose tokens.

Sub:

Warbringer Tachi
The best sub weapon for Lv 50 setup. Gives you 25% CDMG and access to Deadly core(+15% CDMG).

However, if you really want to save a lot of gold, use either Tachi of the First Village or any blue rank Tachi with Deadly core prefix.

For upper part, choose:

Somber Requiem set
Provide you with tankiness with 15% DMG reduction against bosses and 4% DMG taken reduction.

For lower part, choose:

Painful Requiem set
If you want more tankiness, you can choose this bottom

or

Aria of Infinity set
Use this if you want to boost your DPS.

Accessories:

Nazrudin’s Deep Freeze set
For more EVA, SPD and survivability, you can use this set.

Hails of Comets set
Use this if you want more DPS.

Thropies:

Argus’s Dragon Heart
Other than the use for EVA boosting, you can get DPS boost proc as well.

Shards of Toto's Water Blades
The most essential trophy since it provide 15% more CDMG which is good for DPS boosting.

Lv 60 setup

This is, by far, the best and most optimum setup for this build. Other than you are able to capped CDMG, it also provide DMG against bosses bonuses, which is good for DPS boosting.

Main:

Demon Winged Katar
-Has +10% DMG against bosses

Sub:

Beholder's Tachi
-Has a free 3% CRIT (More DPS)
-Has +10% DMG against bosses each.

Bereft Tachi
I think this is the only ST weapon that is consider useful. It provide good EVA boost and it can be use to make up the loss of EVA when switching to Lv 65 gears. You still get CDMG boost from this weapon but you will lose 10% more DMG against bosses.

Top Parts*:

Swiftness of the Devourer set
- EVA +2% (EVA +1% each)
- has +15% Damage against bosses and CRIT boost

Bottom Parts:

Residue of the Devourer set
- EVA +3% (EVA +1% each)
- Taken due to +15% DMG against bosses

Accessories:

Malodnak's Ring of the Lich
Murfeo's Winged Necklace
Frederic's Feathered Cloak

-Taken due to 3% EVA boost and 8% CRIT DMG boost each.

Trophies
Here are some trophies that I have consider to go for this build.

Murfeo's Immortal Oath
- Give boost EVA and SPD (although not much to be honest)
- Will give some boost to Inner Strength too.

Talamund's Soul
- Will give DEF boost and reduction of DMG taken.
- You will lose a lot of EVA and some SPD in trade for more DEF, so, it's better to take Shadow cores instead.

Malodnak's Dark Claw
- Use this if you have too much Crit DMG
- Gives Crit Dmg boost on Bosses

Emblem of the Immortal Dragon
- Pretty much an upgrade version of Shards of Toto's Waterblade
- Has DMG proc

Elemental Thropies
-This will boost you damage against certain element.

*Note: If you don't have the funding for fortification, you can use Titan Top instead of Devourer Top

Lv 65 Setup (Still under construction)
This setup is for heavy fund players due to the fact that yellow rank sets are expensive. This setup is not necessary but it is optional to use any of these gears in this setup.

Main:

Sharpened Teeth of the Holy Beast
-Better Stats
-Boost Electrocution Skill DMG (Which is very useful considering Electrocution will become a gap closer)
- has 35% CRIT DMG proc

Sub
Refer to the Lv 60 setup.

Top set:

Legion Defender's Set
- Huge HP boost
- Procs DMG reduction for 5 times

Bottom Set:

Lion's Roar set
Huge CRIT DMG boost and boost auto-attack normal SPD.

Accessories:

Charming Scent set
Other than able to recover EVA losses when switching from Devourer to other gears, it give life-steal procs too.

Cores

Weapon cores:
- Deadly
- Nocturnal (This is a must-have for sub weapon, unless you don't really care lol)
- Bloodstained
- Barbed

Armor cores:
- Bestial
- Shadow (This is a must-have for orange rank trophies, for orange rank armours, it's optional)
- Imperial (boost move SPD, very helpful in PvE and PvP)

Costume & Enchantment Cards
As for costume and enchantment card, it's up to you to decide but if you really need a guide for that, use the setup here:

Enchant either of them with Advanced Evasion headgear Enchantment.

Costume: Face - Damage Taken -2%

Enchant this card with Advanced Attack Facemask Enchantment

Secret Stones
Basic Secret Stones sets

Katar Secret Stones:

Golden Swift Strike Secret Stone

Tachi Secret Stones:

Indigo Soaring Flash Secret Stone

Helmet Secret Stones:

Sunset Sparks and Flames Secret Stone

Armor Secret Stones:

Golden Electrocution Secret Stone

Belt Secret Stones:

Sunrise Lotus Strike Secret Stone

Gloves Secret Stones:

Azure Inner Strength Secret Stone

Boots Secret Stones:

Sunrise Dragon's Fury Secret Stone

Dragon's Secret Stone Series
Depend on your need you can replace your weapon secret stones with any of these secret stones below.

Thunderous
Gives HP boost. Use this secret stones if you need more HP.

Zephyr
Give DMG boost. Use this secret stones if you want more DMG.

Riptide
Give DMG taken reduction. Use this secret stones if you need more DMG taken reduction.

Bonus stat
All secret stones must have EVA +2%. This is essential because you need this secret stones to capped you EVA stats.

Another bonus stat that you need to take is either DMG taken -2% or CDMG +6% or DMG +2%

So, if you need more survivability, DMG taken -2% & EVA +2%. If you need more CDMG, use CDMG +6% & EVA +2%. If you need more DPS, use DMG +2% & EVA +2%.

Eidolons

Note:
These are just recommended Eidolon. It's your preference on which eidolons you think would fit the best. It doesn't necessary have to be the eidolon listed below.

If you are really poor, I suggest you use Kotonoha as your eidolon. She have 10% lifesteal buff and if you can activate all her eidolon buff, she can boost your EVA too so you can reduce the stat point invested on EVA to be donated to DEF. She's pretty much the best choice considering how expensive EVA build and Nocturnal core is.

Aelius is another good choice for EVA boosting if you don't mind nocturnal cores or already have nocturnal core in your weapon.

If you have enough funds and are able to min and max everything, use Bel-chandra as she is perfect for DPS support. Endora should be decent too, if you can get her that is.

Food & Drink Buffs

Food

Unidentified Fried Milk Balls
- boost DEF and reduce DMG taken

Drinks

Unidentified Float
- Boost Max HP and DEF (which is really needed for ths build)

This is a good combination when it come to boost your defense. I do recommend this.

Skill and Rotation

Note: This section is under construction

No matter what kind of rotation you would use in you Brawler gameplay, there are a lot of things that you need to know to make an efficient rotation for your play style.

Brawler's Charge Mechanic
Every Brawler's skill plays a role in Brawler's Charge mechanic. There are two types of charges in Brawler's mechanic. Earth Charge, which will give offensive boost, and Sky Charge which will give defensive boost. These charge can be stack up to 3 times. Once it is full, you can release those charges by casting Inner Strength or Lotus Strike. This is the mechanic that make Lotus Strike one of the most lethal skill in Aura Kingdom. However, since these two class can release the charges, you have to use it wisely since you want to use a fully-charged Lotus Strike eveytime you cast Lotus Strike.

Moreover, everytime you use a Brawler's skill, you will generate a charge + 35% chance to generate one extra charge.

Jump-cast
What are Jump-cast? Jump-cast is a method to cancel the skill animation and allow the auto-attack to be cast at the same time while the skill animation is still in effect. This is important as it will boost Brawler's DPS since Brawler skills have quite long GCD. basically, all you need to do is press Space Bar + Any hotkeys that can be use to activate Brawler's skills. What kind of skill that is worth to be jump-casted is all up to you to decide.

The only problem for jumpcasting are players that have quite laggy internet connection or laggy cheap computer. Why? It will definitely messed up you jumpcast timing, affecting your DPS as well.

Brawler's Skill

Swift Strike
- An AOE skill that can be use to apply ACC debuff. It can be use to fully charge Lotus Strike.

Blitz
- A gap closer skill that can inflict stun on a single target. Can be use to chase down target.

Shadow Strike
- Brawler's DoT skill. It can be stack up to 3 times.

Lotus Strike
- The deadliest skill in Aura Kingdom. It has the highest skill amplifier which additional damage proc when fully charged with Earth runes.

Sparks and Flames
- Brawler's best AoE skill. This can be use for mob cleansing.

Electrocution
- With it being a gap closer skill, this is a good initiator skill since you can use it buff at the beginning of it's rotation.

Inner Strength
-Brawler's healing skill. This is the skill that make Brawler bulky. Other than giving decent heal, it gives you DMG taken -20% as well.

Tachi Skill

Soaring Flash
- Can be use if you are using Soaring Flash: Rond master, which gives DEF debuff.

Black Swallow
- An AOE skill which gives CRIT buff when used.

Soul Blade
- Ronin's buff that gives DMG and EVA boost. The time effect for this buff is quite short that it is only enough to use it for Soul Storm.

Soul Storm
- Only useable when Soul Blade is activate. This is a good skill for mob cleansing, other than apply DEF reduction debuff which is stackable up to 30 times.

Dark Spear Raid
- One of the essential skill in Brawler/Ronin rotation. Other than using it to stack DoT, you can use this to escape from being squash by AOE red carpet attack.

Iaido
- A chargeable skill that can 1HKO anyone if built right.

Brilliant Dragon Flash
- Ronin's CC skill that gives stun to surrounding enemies.

Dragon's Fury
- A gap-closer skill which has HoT.
