Destiny TTK Guide: How to Get all 4 Ghosts/Grimoire Items Exclusive in the Daily Paradox Mission

$
0
0
The daily is the Paradox mission on Venus today. There's 4 ghosts/grimoire items that are exclusive to the Paradox mission while it is the daily heroic. You need to progress through the mission without wiping in order to obtain them all. Obtaining these also leads to the No Time To Explain Exotic Pulse Rifle.

Mystery: The Vault of Glass

5 Grimoire Points

This can be found when you take the secret path in the Paradox mission inside the Vault of Glass. Where there's an open area to your right before the doorway with the malfunctioning Vex, you can drop off the ledge to the secret path in Trials of Kabr. Take the path until you see the first red light, and on the right in a corner will be the dead ghost/memory.

A few people were also asking how to leave the initial area/secret path, here's the path you need to take after collecting the first Memory/Dead Ghost:

Mystery: The Vault of Glass 2

10 Grimoire Points

This can be found when you take the spirit bloom path in the Paradox mission inside the Vault of Glass. To get to the path, after you hit the Templar's Well and clear out all the Taken, on the very left of the area before the stairs/incline, there's a hole in the wall you can jump in. Continue down the path past the first area with lights, and you will then approach a pillar with a light in it that has a ledge you can jump on top of. Jump up here and before the next drop down, in the corner the ghost will be there. This one can only be obtained if you obtained the first one and progressed through the mission without wiping.

Mystery: The Vault of Glass 3

10 Grimoire Points

This can be found after you defeat the boss and head to the traditional jumping puzzle in the Vault of Glass. To get to this path, turn around from where the skeleton is and hug the right. After you exit the room and head into the big open area, hug the large wall on your left. Keep hugging this wall as it curves around to the right and there will be a hole in the wall. Follow the path and it will take you to the jumping puzzle in the area "Vault of Glass". You head up to the left in the cave, and circle around in it until you reach the ledge. From there you drop down to your right and there will be a little platform you can land on underneath you. Turn around and the ghost will be in the cave connected to the platform. This one can only be obtained if you obtained the first two and progressed through the mission without wiping.

Images:

Mystery: Praedyth's Door

15 Grimoire Points

You need to obtain all 3 prior ghosts in order without dying in a darkness zone/resetting the mission. After this it will trigger the portal to Praedyth's Door where you can fight the "Blighted Descendant" ultra. After you defeat it a door will open for a chest where you can obtain the Cult Ghost. Once you hand this in, you will get the Mystery: Praedyth's Door as shown above.

After obtaining and handing in the Cult Ghost, the following reset it will unlock the quest chain for the No Time To Explain Exotic Pulse Rifle. Full quest chain with text guide in description can be found here:

Destiny: The Weapon Parts Drought Will Soon Be Over!

$

Bungie has finally saw those mumbling and grumbling about shortage in Weapon Parts and, they have stated that they will launch an update this November that will fix this.

To fix the weapon parts shortage, Bungie will let the arms dealer sell weapon parts to you for the cost of glimmers. Wow! Now the acquisition of weapon parts gets a lot easier...No more long hour grinds...

Check out below the full statement of Bungie regarding this matter:

We know! We’ve read a lot of feedback about the abject poverty that was induced when we adjusted their drop rate. My Boss says things are getting dire for him! He’s down to only 1,656 of them, so we need to act fast. As part of the November update, we’re authorizing Banshee-44 as your Weapon Parts dealer. He’ll accept Glimmer as a form of payment.

In all sincerity, as the curators of your living social world, we reserve the right to tinker with the economy. We also reserve the right to change our minds again once we’ve had a chance to read the forum. Thanks for giving enough of a damn to tell us what’s up.

On that note, you’ll see yet more welcome changes to the in-game economy in the December update. Rumor has it that Petra will have use for your Etheric Light, and Eris has been asking if anyone out there is hoarding a surplus of Worm Spore. Turns out she loves the stuff.

Those changes, and more, are coming soon.

Comprehensive Defender Class Guide in Destiny: The Taken King

$
0
0

First off, stat priority.

1.(3) Intellect: Defenders want their bubble. Half of their team utility and strength in PvE comes from the bubble, and they want it as often as possible. Nowhere near as important in PvP where it can be broken by other supers, though in Control it has plenty of use.

Strength: While titans do have fairly crappy melees across the board, Force Barrier can help you in so many ways that it edges out Discipline for defender titans. Especially if running No Backup Plans, this is an important stat.

Discipline: Lackluster in PvE due to Defenders rather weak grenade selection, but in PvP it’s a whole nother story. Supressor grenade, especially with 2 new “persistant” supers in the meta, is a god send for any team. You want them back as much as possible, giving this stat a healthy place for PvP bubblebros.

(Recommended norm is a 5/1/3 in PvE, and a 1/4/4 in PvP)

The Tiers

S, A, B, C, and D. As you might guess, S is the crème de la crème, A is everything but the cherry on top, B is perfectly functional - if outclassed, C and D actually makes you worse.

Perks

Grenades:

Spike PvE C PvP C

Honestly just an all-around terrible grenade. Nearly impossible to land correctly, doesn’t hurt the guy it hits, and is simple to move out of.

Magnetic PvE A PvP A

Solid Single target grenade, the secondary explosion adds quite a bit of damage to its arsenal (surpassing both other sticky grenades in total damage). OHKO in PvP, and actually can hurt several grouped up people (the secondary explosion has some range to it).

Supression PvE B PvP S

In PvE, it is unreliable due to confusing nature of what it actually prevents. Most wizard abilitys, some grenades, and some taken abilities, but not others. However in PvP, the change in Meta have turned it into a powerhouse of a grenade. A full 5 subclasses have persistent supers you can ruin, and everyone else is an easy kill with no grenades or jump.

Ward of Dawn:

Armor of Light PvE B- PvP A

A fairly strictly PvP-only perk. In PvE there already isn’t much threat inside your bubble, and the two buffs can apply to your team much easier. However, it has been pointed out to me that on certain bosses (Darkblade, Shade) it can be a good option in combo with a Sword. In PvP, this gets better the more casual your game is, as weaker players are more likely to try bubble-rushing (and good ones that do this won’t really help against).

Blessing PvE A PvP A

The defensive option in both PvE and PvP, gives your team an overshield to take some extra hits. The usual preferred option in both PvP and certain raid encounters. All-around solid choice.

Weapons PvE S PvP B

In PvP, is a highrisk high reward offensive choice. Certain builds can make great use of it though (high impact snipers) (Chaperone + No Backup allows Chaperone to body OHKO and you still have a shield). In PvE, this single-handedly cemented Defenders love in raids. Aetheon in particular came with a defender ‘requirement’ to speed up the encounter. Oryx, with its invulnerable buff and sharp dps requirement, also is a fight that loves a Weapons defender.

Disintegrate:

War Machine PvE A PvP B+

Turns your guns into a near-instant reload while you have your overshield. Between this and the shield, you turn into a near-unstoppable tank shredding your way through enemies. Combos well with Iron Harvest in an Orb Factory build.

Unbreakable PvE A PvP A

Allows your over shield to regenerate, ensuring that it is maintained for the whole duration. An important talent while wearing No Backup Plans or using Relentless. An extremely useful defensive option in both PvP and PvE.

Gift of Light PvE B PvP C

Fairly useful in a PvE orb factory build if you want to go punch-happy (I prefer WM and Harvest). In PvP, the odds of getting two melee KILLS that close together are low, and 1 extra orb isn’t really worth it.

Bonus Perk

Bastion PvE A PvP B

This whole column is odd in that they are all useful in PvE, but not so much in PvP. Bastion in Particular is excellent in PvE, especially if running a buffing build. In PvP, your bubble is likely to get popped by some other super, or you might die before the extra duration comes into play. Definitely don’t rely on it lasting the whole duration in PvP if you take this.

Relentless PvE B PvP B

Only really comes into its own combined with Unbreakable, as the increased duration is useful if you lose the shield 5 seconds later. The increased health (+95 vs +75) to recharge to is also a nice benefit. In PvP, not great purely for how rare titan melee kills are. Using No Backups fixes that and pushes this to an A easily.

Gift of the Void PvE A PvP B-

Great in PvE where enemies love to shoot your bubbles. In PvP the only time players will do so is to pop it with a super, so I guess you get 3 orbs as a consolation prize for losing your super? Take this in an orb build in PvE, or if you want your super to just be generating 5 orbs for your fireteam in PvP.

Class Perk Possibly the most balanced column in the game

Untouchable PvE A PvP B+

Counts as around 80 Intellect (even past cap), and grants you a bit of armor. Great in PvE for keeping bubbles up for your team, or in Control for easier zone capturing. Not much else to say, a simple, fairly good talent.

Illuminated PvE A PvP A

The buff support talent of the column. Best paired with Blessing of Light in PvP (weapons already hits its damage targets), and Weapons of Light in PvE (Blessing is fairly easy to re-apply once broken). Obviously the rating is a D if you run Armor of Light.
Iron Harvest PvE A PvP C

The definitive orb-generation talent. Only Nightstalkers can come close to you with this equipped. Pick your favorite Machine Gun or the new Bolt-caster and go to work keeping your teammates supers active. Great Combo with Ruin Wings for a more offensive support build. Not worth the 1-2 orbs a game in PvP.

Exotics

Exotic stats changed in Taken King, no longer having certain stats per piece. Now most exotics can roll either split between any two stats, or pure ONLY in their “preferred” stat. Many are also more likely to roll their preferred stat, with a few having a certain stat nearly 100% of the time. Additionally, a small amount of stat comes from a perk, and can only be applied to one stat at a time.

Helm: // Pure: 80 +15 // Split-stat: 45/45 +15

Gauntlets: // Pure: 70 +13 // Split-stat: 40/40 +13

Chest Armor: // Pure: 104 +20 // Split-stat: 68/68 +20

Boots: // Split-stat: 53/53 +18

Exotic Armor (Preferred Stat) PvE rank PvP rank

Helmets

Insurmountable Skullfort (STR): PvE B PvP C

Reasoning: While this is technically a Striker helm, the other two subclasses can take advantage of its main bonus of a second melee charge, and in PvP the respawn energy is helpful as well. While you can make good use of 2 force barriers by killing red-bars in PvE, in PvP it is much preferable to wear Backups since it is so hard for titans to get melee kills in the first place.

Helm of Saint-14 (INT): PvE S PvP B

Reasoning: The iconic Defender helm for PvE in all forms, no that Glasshouse is left behind it barely even has competition. Turns your Ward into an excellent Crowd Control super, and makes any non-ultras caught in it easy kills. In PvP it can help with some shotgun rushers, but it is so noticeable that good players will know the blind is in effect.

Empreyean (-): PvE C+ PvP C+

Reasoning: Some people really love this helm, but for most it isn’t worth the exotic slot. It has some niche uses (fairly good when fighting Phalanxes) but it also leaves you extremely exposed. Defenders have too many better options to pick from unless you REALLY love this helm.

Taikonaut (-): PvE B- PvP A

Reasoning: In PvE this helm is effectively a worse Ruin Wings with a small benefit in tracking. However most of the current PvE endgame is stationary bosses, and in fact Machine guns are preferred for nearly all PvE. In PvP however, this helm adds an insanely important perk to any launcher, and you can make a pseudo-truth if you nab one that already has Horseshoes and Tripod. Don’t use an already tracking launcher though, as the helm will strip tracking off of it.

Gauntlets

Ruin Wings (-): PvE A+ PvP C

Reasoning: The only DLC titan exotic to come forward into Taken King, if we had to pick one this would have been it. Combo these with your favorite HMG and you will have a field day in PvE. Also a very good choice in an orb build with Iron Harvest to keep that perk running more. Only their inconsistency keeps them from an S tier. For obvious reasons, nearly useless in PvP.

No Backup Plans (STR): PvE A PvP S

Reasoning: Holy crap talk about buffs. Is now easily the best PvP exotic for defenders, and as you can tell from earlier in this review, single-handed makes a whole slew of perks viable. One of the only exotics to come with TWO guaranteed perks, both perfectly compliment the main bonus. Add the guaranteed strength, and the fact that it fixes the biggest problem with defenders otherwise excellent melee, and there is nothing to not like about these gloves.

Chestpieces

Crest of Alpha Lupi (INT): PvE C PvP A (in 3v3 only)

Reasoning: Nothing special in the ammo department. Exotic perk is cookie-cutter and available on all classes, useful only for 3v3 content. Not much else to say here.

Temporarily Missing

Glasshouse (INT): PvE A PvP B (Shame this is missing, shaders now make it look insanely cool)

Armamentarium (DISC): PvE B+ PvP S

ACD/0 Feedback (STR): PvE B PvP C

Int >> Str = Disc | Inverse Shadow

PvE: Saint-14 PvP: Player Choice

High Impact Scout or Pulse, Sniper Rifle

Malice, Bad JuJu, Hereafter

A Good support build for raids and dungeons, focuses on keeping a bubble up at all times.

Orb Factory

Player Choice // Weapon(Blessing) // Player Choice // Armor&Recovery // Gift // Harvest(Untouchable)

Int > Str > Disc | Inverse Shadow

PvE: Ruin Wings PvP: Backup Plans

Heavy Machine Guns/Swords, Army of One

Zhalo, BAD JUJU, Bolt-Caster

Holy Crap will you have orbs, in fact possibly too many. This build doesn’t work great in PvP, but maybe if you’re determined

Purple Knight

Suppressor // Weapons // Unbreakable // Agility // Relentless // Untouchable

Str > Disc >> Int | Momentum Transfer, Invigoration

PvE: No Backup Plans PvP: No Backup Plans
Army of One, Danger Close/Surrounded, Shotguns

Monte Carlo, Chaperone, Invective

Works best in PvP, but serviceable in PvE as well. Effectively gives you 290 health at all times. My favorite PvP build for titans, even over sunbreakers.

Destiny Guide: How to Get Your Second Touch of Malice Quickly (If You've Messed Up Your First)

$
0
0

To those who misunderstood the Touch of Malice when you first unlocked it and infused it with a legendary primary and, think that you could always buy it and slowly creep it up back to 310+ or re-do the quest since it was pretty easy and straight forward, then you have just wasted your ToM.

www.destinycalcifiedfragments.com tracks your fragment progress based off of grimoire so, it is impossible to know which fragments you have for your alternate character. On the bright side, whenever you open the Dreadnaught in orbit it tells you how many fragments out of 50 (x/50), kind of like how you could track your golden chests from vanilla.

ToM is needed to get to help your team finish Hardmode now So, if you have wasted your chance on your first ToM, then get your second ToM quickly now! This guide is created to make it a lot easier for you when it came to tracking your progress obtaining Touch of Malice.

1. First, create a list that categorized the fragments based off of what zones they were in and if they required any sort of event to acquire the desired object.

2. Then, follow this video that Datto has generously made for us.

It is the first 1-23 fragments (besides 18) that can all be found during patrol.

Bonus tip: It is highly recommended hitting every chest location you know of and collecting Hadium Flakes as you go. It takes 80 flakes in all to obtain and fully upgrade your Touch of Malice, and this is by far the biggest pain in the ass. Make sure to track your progress

3. After marking these 22 fragments as found, move onto the events that activated fragments. 4 of these can be easily soloed. I also was not able to get the agnorach rune completed in my desired time, but that wasn't an issue. Make sure to track your progress

4. This is when the "fun" begins. The court of oryx fragments definitely take the longest since Stolen runes seem so hard to come by and it starts off as a hit or miss, depending on if you have ever participated in the court previously. You only need to have 1 of the tier 3 runes completed to be able to obtain 45 fragments in all. But you MUST have the Agnorach Rune completed in order to sacrifice the 2 other runes. You can also complete the Dreadnaught specific bounty while doing the court of oryx, save an antiquated rune for the final step! Make sure to track your progress

5. After getting all of the fragments possible from the Dreadnaught Patrol, do the mission Regicide and the two strikes found on the dreadnaught. All of these can be done in normal mode. Make sure to track your progress

6. If you haven't already gotten the ones from the raid, these will be the last ones for you to get. Make sure to track your progress

7. Make sure to have completed all of the quests as well for Eris (Hunger Pangs), AND MAKE SURE TO TRACK YOUR PROGRESS!!!

Holy Class Silver Hunter Confirmed to be the Newest Class in Dragon Nest

$
0
0
We have more information now about the Hunter class and, it looks like its name is the Silver Hunter. In addition to that detail, it looks like the new class will be a holy class. Well, I am beginning to think that it will be an elvish girl and I'm thinking about that queen of elves in the Lord of the Rings!

Well, my guess was probably right! Checking the early model below of the Silver Hunter, you will see that it's an elf girl dress in white coat with a bow an arrow.

Okay. Some people will not believe that a new class will be coming to Dragon Nest aside from the announced Machina. Well, as you can see in the image above, it just looks like an archer with a costume or a level 90 set. To remove all those doubts, just check the the official teaser trailer below of the silver hunter!

In  addition to that, there has been leaks about the skills of the Silver Hunter which you can see below:

I think that's enough information for now about Silver Hunter. We will notify you again next time about new info for this class. Probably next time, we will have the complete details for this class.

Destiny: The Taken King Raid Drop Structure (How Raid Drop Works)

$
0
0

This page will compile the structure for each raid into a single post to help eliminate confusion to those guardians who are asking about how raid loot works.

In General:
  • One roll per difficulty per character per week.
  • Running HM first means you can't get drops in NM during that week.
  • Checkpoint after each boss by character.
  • Checkpoints reset with the weekly reset.
  • It is generally to your benefit to run only HM each week.
  • The "nothing" you can get in King's Fall is equivalent to getting only shards/energy in earlier raids. No unique materials for KF, so their spot is empty.
Vault of Glass:
  • Running HM only rolls the HM loot table twice at each drop.
  • HM table includes the NM loot table along with HM loot. You can receive two HM-only items.
  • Chests roll both tables when running HM only; locked out for the week.
  • Vex Mythoclast has its own slot in the HM table; it does not replace the chance for an exotic at Atheon.
  • Guaranteed loot from each boss and chest; may be only shards or energy (excepting guaranteed drops i.e. shader, emblem, etc.).
Crota's End:
  • Running only HM rolls the NM and HM table (excepting weapons; see below)
  • Regarding weapons: HM table has only primary weapons; NM table has only special and heavy weapons.
  • Armor is included in the NM table.
  • Chests drop once and are locked out for the week; contain shards and energy
  • Crux of Crota has its own slot in the HM table; it does not replace the chance for an exotic at Crota.
  • Guaranteed loot from each boss and chest; may be only shards or energy (excepting guaranteed drops i.e. shader, emblem, etc.).
King's Fall:
  • Running only HM rolls the NM table once and the HM table once.
  • HM table drops 310-320 gear; NM table drops 300-310 gear and Moldering Shards.
  • NM guarantees an extra roll only at Oryx and only if you have 20 Moldering Shards in your inventory. Shards appear to be consumed when running HM only, as well. The extra roll is in the NM table.
  • HM guarantees an additional drop only at Oryx and does not consume your Moldering Shards. This drop is in addition to the HM roll (which may or may not yield loot).
  • The extra drop at Oryx pulls from the table of the entire raid; it is possible that this will be Moldering Shards.
  • It is possible, though unfortunate, that at each boss prior to Oryx you will receive nothing from from the HM table and only Moldering Shards from the NM table when running only HM.
Check out the table below which gives you an idea about Oryx drops:

Note: Bold is guaranteed. HM+NM is running HM only.

11.Curator (20G) — Discover all of the collectibles in the Campaign

12.Disavowed (20G) — Complete Black Ops on Hardened, Veteran, or Realistic.

13.Hold Still! (20G) — Kill 6 enemies affected by one Blinding Swarm or Firefly Swarm.

Requirements: From the Main Menu select the “Campaign” section and choose to “Go To Safehouse”. – Then you must buy the Blidning Swarm cyber core upgrade in the Safehouse, which is part of the ‘Chaos’ skill tree.

Now unleash the swarm near a big group of human enemies and quickly kill them while they are stunned by the swarm. A good place early in the game is in mission 4. After killing the enemies in the first big area you will come by a mobile armory and civilians/prisoners come running down some stairs. There is a large group of enemies standing close together. Unleash the swarm and pick them off one by one when they are stunned.

Note: Kill yourself to restart the checkpoint if the achievement doesn’t unlock.

14.Rolling Heavy (10G) — Kill 5 enemies using one burst of Unstoppable Force.

Requirements: From the Main Menu select the “Campaign” section and choose to “Go To Safehouse”. – Then upgrade the “Overwhelming Force” Ability in the Safehouse, which is part of the ‘Martial’ skill tree.

Tip: The fully upgraded version is called “Unstoppable Force”. It lets you fly for a couple of meters and destroy everything in your path. You must line up 5 enemies and then activate the skill.

Location: A great spot is in Mission 4: Provocation. A few minutes after the mission starts you come a little village where some slaves are being held. There’s a turret in the middle. After killing the first wave of enemies, six robots will approach the area. They will stand still after a while to defend the path to the next area. Approach them and use the Unstoppable Force ability on the group of robots. It should instantly destroy all of them. It’s recommended to do this on Recruit difficulty. If it didn’t work you can kill yourself to restart the checkpoint.

15.Sting like a Talon (20G) — In Campaign, kill 20 enemies while flying the same Talon.

Location: Can be done at the start of Mission 2: New World.

Right at the start of the mission your teammate Diaz will tell you to take control of a drone. You can pick from little robots and flying drones. Pick the flying drone, which is called the titular Talon, and kill all the enemies in the next room.

16.Decimator (20G) — In Campaign, kill 10 enemies in under 3 seconds.

Location: Can be done at the earliest in Mission 1: Black Ops.

At the end of this mission you will be driving a truck and can use its turret against enemies. At one point your truck will stop and many robots come to fight you and try to climb the truck. They die in 1 shot from the turret. Quickly shoot the large group of robots and you should get the achievement. If it doesn’t unlock you can back out to the main menu and then resume from last checkpoint.

17.Gun Game (20G) — In Campaign, kill 5 enemies with 5 different guns in under 30 seconds.

Location: A few minutes into Mission 4: Provocation you’ll come to an area with lots of containers and you get ambushed by lots of robots. There is a mobile armory here.

The trick is to use the mobile armory to switch loadouts. Do a kill with the primary and secondary weapons you have equipped. Then go back to the mobile armory and switch weapons. Repeat until you have 5 kills within 30 seconds. There’s also a checkpoint right in front of the mobile armory, in case you need to retry.

18.Personal Decorator (90G) — Earn all Decorations.

A) The “Tried and True” Decoration is covered in the “For real this time” achievement section below.

B) The “Good Listener” Decoration is obtained by collecting all Audio Recordings in Mission 5: Hypocenter. – You must interact with some computer screens to listen to the recordings. Luckily, they are all in the same room. This is after descending into the core of the facility, when you get ambushed by a large group of robots.

19.Doing Camo Right (10G) — In Campaign, unlock all camos for any weapon.

20.Maximum Firepower (10G) — Take control of an ASP.

Requirements: From the Main Menu select the “Campaign” section and choose to “Go To Safehouse”. – Then buy the “Remote Hijack” skill in the Safehouse, which is part of the Control Core skill tree.

Location: Can be done at the end of Mission 7: Rise & Fall, where you will have to fight some large robots – the so called “ASP”. The first one you must destroy cannot be hacked. After that a smaller ASP is dropped off by a helicopter. Use the Remote Hijack ability on it. It takes a few seconds to hack it. Once you are in control of the machine the achievement will unlock.

21.Walking Encyclopedia (10G) — Discover all of the collectibles in any Mission.

22.Crackshot (10G) — In Campaign, kill 5 enemies from over 100m away.

Location: Can be done at the start of Mission 9: Sand Castle, when you will be flying a VTOL and must destroy the defenses of an enemy base.

Fly 100+ meters away from the base and start shooting the enemies from afar. This works best with the VTOL’s Machine Gun. You can also zoom in to see enemies more easily. Odds are you will get this achievement here without even trying.

23.Can’t Hide (10G) — In Campaign, kill an enemy through a wall or obstruction.

24.Biff! Bap! KaPow! (10G) — Kill three enemies in a melee combo.

Requirements: From the Main Menu select the “Campaign” section and choose to “Go To Safehouse”. – Then first buy the fully upgraded “Takedown” skill in the Safehouse, which is part of the Martial skill tree. The fully upgraded version is called “Rapid Strike”. It allows you to do a x3 melee combo. Make sure you equip it in your loadout before starting a mission.

Location: Now look for 3 enemies that are standing close together. The first 3 enemies in Mission 7: Vengeance are perfect for this. Press the right stick to attack one after the other. You should see a button prompt when close to an enemy. When done correctly you will see a little animation of you rushing from enemy to enemy and instant-killing them.

25.Inertial Distance (10G) — In Campaign, wall run over 250 meters.

26.For real this time (10G) — Earn a Gold Rating in the training simulator.

Tips: The training simulator can be accessed in the Safehouse of campaign mode, after beating mission 2. It’s a combat simulation consisting of 16 rounds. If you beat all 16 waves you are pretty much guaranteed a gold rating. Do it as quickly as possible and you’ll get even more points.
27,500 points are required for gold.

Note: Set the game to Recruit difficulty to make it easier.

Bonus: If you want the “Tried and True” decoration you must get at least 35,000 points. You must be very quick to pull this off. The decoration is required for the “Personal Decorator” achievement.

27.Foe To Friend (10G) — Use an enemy combat robot to kill 10 enemies.

Location: Can be done at the start of Mission 2: New World.

Right at the start of the mission your teammate Diaz will tell you to take control of a drone. You can pick from little robots and flying drones. Pick the little robots, which is called the titular Combat Robot, and kill all the enemies in the next room.

28.Throwing Flak (10G) — Kill 3 Talons with a single mid-air grenade detonation.

Location: Can be done at the earliest in Mission 2: New World, when you chase down the suspect.

You must cook a frag grenade and throw it at the talons just a moment before it explodes. Talons almost always fly in swarms of 3 or more. It also counts when you throw the grenade on the ground and the talons are flying over it. The trophy description is a bit misleading, the grenade doesn’t have to explode mid-air.

29.Unlocked Potential (10G) — Fully upgrade a Cybernetics Core.

30.Lock, Stock, And Then Some (10G) — In Campaign, unlock all attachments for any weapon.

31.In Their Sleep (10G) — In Campaign, kill 5 stunned enemies in under 3 seconds.

Location: Can be done in Mission 3: In Darkness.

Requirements: Set the game to Recruit difficulty level and make sure you have some Flashbangs in your loadout.

The first group of enemies in this mission is perfect for this. Now wait until 5+ enemies are close together (there are more than enough enemies in this section) and throw the Flashbang at them. Kill them as quickly as you can. Use a machine gun or semi-automatic shotgun from up close. This only works on human enemies, not robots.

32.The Beginning of the End (60G) — In Shadows of Evil, complete all Rituals.

33.From the Shadows (25G) — In Shadows of Evil, spot the Shadowman fives times in one game.

34.Not out of Gobblegum! (25G) — In Shadows of Evil, purchase and chew every type of GobbleGum in your Pack.

35.Sorry, we’re DEAD (25G) — In Shadows of Evil, kill 10 zombies that are inside of a store in one game

36.Strike! (25G) — In Shadows of Evil, use the rocket shield attack to kill at least 10 zombies in one burst.

37.Beat CoP (25G) — In Shadows of Evil, summon the Civil Protector in every district in a single game.

38.The Spider and the Fly (25G) — In Shadows of Evil, kill 10 zombies ensnared by a Widow’s Wine grenade

39.Margwa Party (25G) — In Shadows of Evil, kill 2 Margwas in a single round.

40.Parasite-Seeing (25G) — Keep playing Zombies to unlock.

41.Welcome to the Club (20G) — Reach Sergeant (Level 10) in Multiplayer while playing online.

42.Battle Tested (20G) — Reach Commander (Level 55) in Multiplayer while playing online.

43.Tactical Specialist (20G) — Get 5 Medals based on a Specialist Ability in a single game.

44.Deadly Specialist (20G) — Get a Specialist-based medal that requires 3 or more rapid kills while using any Specialist Weapon.

Secret Achievements:

45.No One Will Believe You (50G) — Complete the Campaign on Realistic.

46.Another Side of the Story (20G) — Complete the Campaign on any difficulty.

47.Silverback In Black (10G) — Hack the Data Vault and brace yourself for Cyber’s Avengening in Dead Ops Arcade 2.

Location: After beating Mission 2: New World in the campaign you can enter the Safehouse at any time from the Main Menu’s Campaign section. In the Safehouse is a data terminal (looks like a big computer screen). Access the terminal and press the hidden button in the top left corner. Pressing the button is going to start up Dead Ops Arcade 2. – The achievement pops automatically after watching the intro sequence.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3: How To Unlock Zombies Nightmares Campaign Mode

You might have noticed that the Nightmares Mode is not available from the start of the game. This despite that the regular Zombies Mode is in the Main Menu from the start.

To unlock Zombie Nightmares Mode, you’ll need to do the following:

• You unlock Nightmares by completing the normal Single Player Campaign’s 11 missions. This can be done on any difficulty level.

• After the ending cinematic and credits have rolled, the new Nightmares Mode will appear in the Main Menu below Freerun Mode.

• Once unlocked, Nightmares Mode allows you to replay the Single Player Campaign, but from a different (Zombies) perspective.

This video shows how to unlock the “Nightmares” Black Ops 3 Zombies Campaign Mode:

How To Unlock The “Dead Ops Arcade 2: Cyber’s Avengening” Game: Like the original Black Ops had a hidden arcade game, Black Ops 3 has the sequel hidden in its menus. Here are the steps to take to unlock it.

STEP #1: First you must complete “Mission 2: New World” in the story campaign.

STEP #2: After that mission is completed, you’ll be able to visit the safehouse where the game is at any time. Simply go back to the Main Menu and select the “Campaign” section again, but instead of selecting “Resume Story”, you choose to “Go To Safehouse”.

STEP #3: Once inside the safehouse you’ll find a data terminal (called the Data Vault) that shows up as an actual computer screen. Now you can access the data terminal with the Square button on PlayStation / X button on Xbox, and then move the on-screen selection to press the secret button that is visible in the top-left corner of your screen (select the octagon logo there).

Doing this will start up the Dead Ops Arcade 2 game from the mini-games folder.

Try and survive for as long as possible against limitless waves of zombies.

You’ll know you’ve successfully hacked the Data Vault and started Cyber’s Avengening in Dead Ops Arcade 2, when the “Silverback In Black” 10G Achievement / Bronze Trophy appears on-screen after the intro scene has played.

This video guide shows all these steps to unlock and play Dead Ops Arcade 2:

Gear Stat Rolls in Destiny: The Taken King Guide (Explaining What the Numbers in the Armory Mean)

$

What is up with Stats:

While it seems as though Bungie’s new armory makes it’s easy to figure out whether something has a good roll, what possible stats are, and everything else, there is actually a lot hidden going on behind the scenes that makes for some confusion.

This page will help clear up what the numbers in the armory mean, what is actually possible on a piece of gear, and how much you should actually care (Spoiler: not as much as you used to).

We will be going to be specific as possible, and might be too specific in certain areas.

Note:

Rolls don’t matter as much as they used to. Aim for (before stat nodes and at Def 280) Helms 46+, Arms 31+, Chests 46+, Boots 43+, Class& Ghosts 19+, and split-stat Artifacts. Each exotic only has 3 possible stat combinations, pay attention to the possible stat nodes listed in the Armory to figure out which ones. DON’T WASTE GLASS NEEDLES

Maximum stats

The maximum stats listed in the armory are the true values, but with a few caveats.

The minimum stat value shown is basically irrelevant, it is tied to the lower defense value shown, but is neither the maximum nor minimum value at that level. (Helms show 35, but Vendor helm stats range from 30 to 36 before perks).

The maximum value shown is the possible stat value at the higher defense including stats from an armor perk. Exotic Helms show 35-60. This does not mean they can roll anywhere from 35 to 60, it means that the highest roll and a boosting perk will hit 60 in that stat at 310 Defense. (The actually range is more like 35 to 43).

The maximum rolls at 280 and 310 (before perks) are:

GEAR
  • Helms: 38 -> 43
  • Gloves: 33 -> 38
  • Chests: 49 -> 55
  • Boots: 45 -> 50
  • Class & Ghosts: 20 -> 23
  • Artifacts: Extremely screwy and weird
The bonus stat nodes also increase with defense. However these are the same across all gear of the same defense value, with no RNG.

NODES
  • Helms: 14 -> 17
  • Gloves: 13 -> 15
  • Chests: 20 -> 23
  • Boots: 18 -> 21
  • Class & Ghosts: 8 -> 9
  • Artifacts ~33 -> 38
Side note: Single-stat Artifacts lose out on around 15 points, which is actually a lot considering. Try and keep Split-stat artifacts unless you really lower your light level doing so.

Possible rolls

One or two of the stats having a much higher maximum than average listed means that the piece can roll “pure” in that stat. However it also means a few other things.

There are at first glance 9 possible stat distributions on a given piece of gear:
  • Int/Disc
  • Disc/Str
  • Int/Str
  • Pure Int (Str perk)
  • Pure Disc or (int perk)
  • Pure Str (Disc perk)
Obviously not every exotic can roll pure in any stat, each exotic has either 0, 1, or rarely 2 stats that it can roll pure in, and these are fairly obvious in the armory. These are the Exotics “preferred” stats.

There is another hidden limitation: Pure stats only have one “side” stat possible:
  • Pure int will have a strength node
  • Pure disc will have an int node
  • Pure strength will have a disc node.
The end result of this is that every exotic in the game only has 3 possible stat combinations.
  • For 0 preference gear this is each split combo,
  • for 1 preference (lets say intellect) it is int/disc, int/str, and pure int (str perk),
  • and for 2 preference (lets say int & disc) it is int/disc, int (str) and disc (int)
How can you tell this without remembering the combinations? Well if you look at the possible perks in the armory that will tell you! The secret is that each of the two stat nodes are rolled together, not separately. The first possibility in each node happen together, etc.

So if you look at Nighthawk, it shows Int/Int/Str, and Str/Disc/Int in the two Nodes. What this really means is it can roll (1) Int/Str, (2) Int/Disc, or (3) Int (str). (The last combo shows the ‘side’ stat always)

Infusion

Infusion stat increases is actually fairly simple for the defense values we care about. (it’s hard to tell what happens lower or higher because of a lack of legendries under 260 Defense or about around 315).

Basically every 10 points of defense increase will amount to a 1 point increase to all stats before 290, and a 2 point increase past 290 (rounding may change exactly when these increases happen).

This effect is doubled for pure-roll gear.
  • The stat nodes on helms, chests, and boots increase by 1 every 10 defense.
  • Arms, Ghosts, and Class items increase by around ½ point every 10 defense (causing some odd rounding)
  • Artifacts increase by roughly 1 ½ or 2 points every 10 defense.
This means that any piece of gear you obtain at 280 (Vendors and Xur both sell at that level) will be the same raw # below max at 310 that it was when you bought it.

How much you should Care

Because so much of your stats come from the Gear Nodes which are fixed values, the actually rolls don’t matter as much as they did. Furthermore the actual variance is not that huge from gear to gear, and the new “stat tier” system again reduces the amount a bad rolled piece will affect you.

The end result of all this is:
  • At 280 Light, it is possible to have 9 total stat tiers to play with.
  • At 300 Light, you are nearly guaranteed to have 9 total stat tiers to play with.
  • At 300 Light, it is possible to have 10 total stat tiers to play with.
  • At 310 Light, you most likely have 10 total stat tiers to play with.
  • Past 315 Light, it is technically possible to hit 11 total stat tiers, but this is hard to do.
Your goal with stat rolls: Hit 10 stat tiers by LL 305, and don’t let yourself drop below 10 tiers once you’re above LL 310.

In reality, one stat tier isn’t that huge of a deal, but since it only requires average to above-average rolls rather than near-perfect, you might as well go for it.

Where Could be the Missing Exotic Armors in Destiny: The Taken King?

$

0

Taken King expansion has been out for almost two months now and, there are lots of secrets that has already been discovered. Say for example the Black Spindle, Sleeper Simulant and No Time to explain. All these exotic weapons were the very center of talk in Destiny universe when they were still a secret but now, all of these have been found and it looks like some of these exotic weapons are not a mystery at all. Guardians will have to wait for a certain time that Bungie will reveal that it's time to hunt for these weapons. When all of these are found, all those talks about these exotics were buried and, we might not be seeing any exotic weapons until the next DLC.

On the other hand, there are still exotic armors in Taken King that has not been found yet or, yet to be discovered. You could say that the quest to finding all secrets in Destiny: The Taken King is not over yet until we finally have grasp on these exotic armors. The question now is, where could these exotic armors be?

As you may know, there are three unlocked pieces of Taken King exotic armors for each class and also, there are three hidden ones. Right now, here's what's missing:

For Warlock:
  • Ophidian Aspect (Gloves)- Improved Siphon and weapons ready and reload very quickly
  • Astrocyte Verse (Helmet)- Reduces Blink cooldown and increases travel distance
  • Transversive Steps (Boots)- Gain faster movement speed while crouching. Picking up ammo automatically reloads the weapon matching that ammo's type.
For Hunter:
  • Shinobu's Vow (Gloves)- Improves Skip Grenade and you gain additional Skip Grenade charge.
  • ATS/8 Tarantella (Chest)- Take reduced Arc damage from minions of the Darkness; Arc Grenaces and Arc Blade recharge faster.
  • Frost-EE5 (Boots)- Tighter turn radius while sprinting. Increased grenade and melee regeneration while sprinting.
For Titan:
  • Twilight Garrison (Chest)- Press B, B (O,O) will airborne to evade.
  • Thagomizers (Gloves)- Fist of Havoc kills recharge your melee and melee kills recharge Fist of Havoc. Gain an additional melee charge
  • Dunemarchers (Boots)- Increased sprint speed, extended slide distance, increase movement speed while aiming your weapon, and tighter turn radius while sprinting.
Amongst these exotic armors, I only found a few Guardians decrypt an exotic chest engrams, and turn to these exotic armors. Say for example the Twilight Garrison which was reported here on this blog that it has already been found. However, not by many but only a few. I think for the time being, I have never seen a report that they also found Twilight Garrison or, any other exotic armors. So, is it really that hard to find these exotic armors? Where could they be?

Possibly theories why these exotic armors are not yet found are:

#1 It is extremely rare
As I have mentioned above, it was reported by a Guardian that he has found the Twilight Garrison by decrypting an exotic engram chest and after that, no one seems to found it using the method. I was hoping that many would decrypt another Twilight Garrison but, no one did. I have never heard of any report following the first acquisition of Twilight Garrison so, I then concluded that maybe, just maybe, it's really that rare! However, just think, million of players are playing Destiny according to Bungie's stats and, only a few, when I say few, I mean less than 10 found some of these exotic armors? That's ridiculous!

#2 Xur will sell the missing exotic armors
Remember that Xur did sell a Y2 version of Skull of Dire Ahamkara, a helmet that was only to have a Y1 version but, it ended up on his inventory. In addition, Xur also sold the elusive Zhalo Supercell which leads me to believing that maybe, just maybe, Xur will end up selling also the missing exotic armors. However, if we think of it, it will really be time consuming if Xur sell all these missing exotics. In addition, I think Bungie will not be selling any unknown exotic armors yet by way of Xur. So, the event where Xur sells these items is not possible. Maybe when it's already known, then that's the time you'll see it on Xur's inventory.

#3 They are just hidden in the game right now
Number 3 of the possible reason why these exotic armors is still missing is possibly we just didn't dig deeper and, these items are just buried somewhere in the game and we couldn't find it because we don't put extra effort in doing so. Agreed? Well not really. This theory also has a flaw. Remember Sleeper Simulant? At first, players searched everywhere for it. Every map in TTK was explored and players couldn't find it and then Bungie says "hey, we will be giving you a quest which will reward you the Sleeper Simulant (and then they laughed at us really hard)". All that time wasted searching it, believing that it's right there in the corner and then, Bungie......Oh nevermind! Enough said. I think this theory isn't that viable either. Another theory on where could these exotic armors be found is:

#4 They are found in Bungie's Time Gate jail
Just like what I've said before, just remember when Bungie drop the news about the Sleeper Simulant quest or, the No Time to Explain. I think it's pretty good theory that Bungie will be announcing these exotic armors quest in the right time. Maybe we'll end up just one day waking up in the morning seeing a new quest which rewards us with a class specific exotic armor, just like what Bungie did to the exotic weapons. The last theory is:

#5 Maybe they will be revealed when Challenge Mode for Raids will be release
Bungie did announced that challenge mode will be added to raids. The details are pretty vague at the moment but maybe, these exotic armors will be rewards in the upcoming challenge mode in TTK.

Out of all these 5 theories, I find #4 and #5 more viable. We have no official confirmation yet but obviously, Bungie likes ther timegates and, they love to bring new surprises in their new updates. So possibly, these exotic armors are hidden either on timegates or challenge mode.

So what do you think? Where could these exotic armors be?

Destiny: Taken King Glimmer Bug (Glimmer Buffs Not Working Sometimes)

$

On youtube, someone reported via video that there's a glimmer bug in Destiny: The Taken King.

Essentially, Bungie put in a mechanic to slow down your glimmer gain by restricting your character from gaining glimmer if you get over a certain amount within a certain time. In the video below by MeowzaForce Gaming, it reveals that he have on the Ghost that gives glimmer when killing Hive and you see right at 168 glimmer gained that he stop getting glimmer BUT he keep gaining candy. He is not at max glimmer yet.

The other part of the video shows fighting Fallen and how he have the Ether Seed buff active with 6 minutes left and he's not gaining glimmer. Check out the video below:

Personal Opinion: I have no clue yet if this is a bug or this has been intentionally made it this way by Bungie but, I do hope that it is just a bug. Why? It's because Bungie did say that glimmer will be very useful in the next update as it will be made as the currency to buy weapon parts.

To fix the weapon parts shortage, Bungie will let the arms dealer sell weapon parts to you for the cost of glimmers. Wow! Now the acquisition of weapon parts gets a lot easier...No more long hour grinds...As part of the November update, they will be authorizing Banshee-44 as your Weapon Parts dealer. He’ll accept Glimmer as a form of payment.

So obviously, with the weapon parts and other items to be sold at vendors sometime soon we need the glimmer issue fixed now. We want to be able to buy stuff with glimmer again and not be held back by a temporary time-gate on glimmer gain. Especially since we soon will be able to buy weapon parts and turn them in for faction rep.

Call of Duty Black Ops 3: New Secret Cheat Menu in Campaign Discovered!

$

This dude named Ron Scottznbrgr has found a new secret menu in campaign on Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and you can check it out how he did it below:

The Devs were pretty sneaky with this one. They hid ANOTHER secret under the secret dead ops button location in the data vault. I have no idea what this menu does, or what it can unlock, but this is how you get to it:

  1. Open the data vault.
  2. Go to top left area of the screen. You will be highlighting the weird "S" logo, and your cursor will disappear. (Hitting "X" [PS4], or "A"[X1] here will take you to the Dead Ops mode, although this is not at all necessary to get to the menu)
  3. Hold all of the Shoulder Buttons, then press {[PS4] Square, then Triangle}, or {[X1] "X", then "Y"}

This brings up the secret menu, where you can input text.

Video is here

So what is this secret menu? IT IS A CHEAT MENU!

There are actually 2 button combinations. Hold R2/RT, and hit Square/X, then Triangle/Y, OR Hit Square/X, then Triangle/Y, then press R2/RT. No need to hold all of the shoulder buttons. Still unsure of PC button combos.

There are absolutely no confirmation, noises, or any sort of visual/auditory feedback that you entered a cheat correctly. This sucks. We could have entered a bunch of codes already, and would never know.

The code entered was below the 10 character limit. It is still unsure if all codes are below that limit, but this one was. This leads me to believe that 10 character codes do not exist, since you cant actually hit OK or Cancel.

In addition, there's an issue with scrolling vertically past the letter "J". Start at the letter "C" and scroll down. It skips over "J". Does the same if you scroll up from "W". Also seems to happen when scrolling down from "B". It'll go down to "I", then skip "P", and go over to "Q". Doesn't work in reverse.

Finally, the cheat codes are exactly that. There ARE cheats. They make the game MUCH easier. The code is PERMANENT. No undoing it.

Working Codes:

MANIFEST- The first confirmed code. Sets your Fabrication Kits to 100. Cannot be used again. Also permanent.

Here's a proof that it's working:

More codes will be available as soon as they are discovered.

Destiny Tip: How to Have Multiple Chances in Getting Grasp of Malok in Just One Strike (Will of Crota)

$
0
0

Alot of people when trying to run the strike, don't seem to realize you can have multiple chances at Grasp of Malok in one strike without involving any suicide techniques. So here's how to do it:

Note: Before we go with spme nitty-gritty details, we just like to state that this is not 100% grasp of malok drop. What we mean is, you might just get one grasp of malok at the end of each strike. But the good side is, it is guaranteed that if it is not a grasp of malok, then the other drop would be something good like omnigul bond.

Things you need to know.

1) Get a fireteam, don't go in with randoms via matchmaking. Bring AT LEAST one hunter with a black hole tether and another high orb generating class (i would suggest stormcaller with transcendence)

2) Make sure to bring high damage/impact heavy weapons for backup. Gjallahorn, sleeper simulant and the solar/void swords work great. DO NOT USE THE ARC SWORD.

3) Kill omnigul in the area as shown in the beginning of the video with the above tactics. She will drop you loot as if you just beat the strike. Keep in mind that the Ads WILL NOT despawn so kill them afterwards to get back supers and ammo. Proceed to the final room of the strike like normal and omnigul will be there respawned and with full health like you didn't just like her sindel bitch ass already.

Kill her again and she will once again give you strike-ending loot. So with this, you will have 2 chances at grasp of malok per strike.

You can check out the video for demonstration of this strategy below:

Important Notes:
  • Alternatively, You can also kill omnigul in the garage hallway and then have your fireteam suicide or get killed by ads and respawn in the garage again. If you're patient you can recharge supers/ammo and kill her in the hallway once again. The only issue with this method is, if you dont die quick enough and she teleports, your checkpoint will automatically become the final room instead of the garage.
  • Three of coins do not work on omnigul, Don't waste your time with that.

Destiny Tip: Proper Utilization of Three of Coins (How to Get 9 Exotics Out of 10 Coins Used)

$
0
0

As you all may know, last week we were made aware that we still have not discovered the proper utilization of Three of Coins.

After some thorough testing over the weekend, along with the help of fellow guardians learning the true nature of the Three of Coins tarot, a guaridan believed that there is a direct relation with the vanguard strike streak to our precious 3oC. This method has given him 9 exotics out of 10 coins used.

Here are the steps...

  1. Make sure that you do not have the 3oC buff active (kill a ultra if you do)
  2. Load into the vanguard strike playlist (Heroic strikes seem to work as well)
  3. Complete two strikes without 3oC
  4. On the beginning of the third strike (once you have loaded in, and are on the ground) activate a Three of Coin and proceed the strike as normal
  5. Killing an ultra has given them a 90% chance of an exotic
  6. Exit back to orbit and return to the playlist

Note: If the third strike is dust palace, complete it and pop the three of coin on the forth strike and we also received an exotic, you can do this solo or with a partial fireteam. We Did experiment with popping the Three of Coins too early (at the end of the second strike), this resulted in no exotic while his friend who was running the strikes with him popped his at the beginning of the third resulted in an exotic for him.

To prove that this is working, they have tried it the second time. They loaded into the vanguard strike playlist with one other person in their fireteam. Then completed the Saber strike, then Dust Palace. At the beginning of the darkblade (third strike), his friends popped their 3oc. They got to the end without any wipes. Before dropping down, he then popped his three of coins. They killed the darkblade without any wipes, they both then got exotic drops (primary and chest). Then after that, he loaded into a solo strike, completed the dust palace, undying mind, and then on the saber strike he popped another three of coins as he dropped down into the boss room. Upon completing the strike (again, no wipes) he got another exotic (helm).

So possibly, this is the right way to utilize three of coins. This need further testing though so if you guardians out there have time, you can try it out also and confirm that this strategy is working.

There's a survey right now to confirm if this strategy is working. And you can be part of it by going to this link> https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1BGPJHx1c1mdd3CvcN1hu02Rb_94WzswOz0kkfPXdecc/viewform?c=0&w=1

Let's help each other guys so we can finally solve this mystery on how to properly utilize 3oC.

Fallout 4 Tweaks & Fixes Guide (Unlock Frame Rate, Change FOV, Skip Intro Video, Unlock Console, 21:9 Support and Remove Mouse Acceleration + Other Fixes)

$
0
0
Describes how to unlock the frame rate in Fallout 4, change the fov, skip the intro video, unlock console, 'add' 21:9 support, remove mouse acceleration (though not for menus currently, though some are reporting unlocking the frame rate fixes this for them, it however doesn't for me), mousee not showing up at the menu/gamepad fix, horizontral and veritcal mouse sensitiviteies being different by default and other tweaks will continue to be added.

If you have any issues having any of the below tweaks hold once you have made all the changes you want to make to the .ini files, make them read only.

Unlock Frame Rate

Some such as myself by default are finding the game locked to 30fps, which is bizzare as for other it appears to be locked at 60. The below is how to unlock your frame rate if you have this 30fps cap issue like me, or want to go beyond 60. Note: I wouldn't recommend unlocking it above 60 based on what happend in skyrim when you did (the game became unstable).

To unlock frame rate open Fallout4Pref.ini (located at C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\). Note making a backup isn't neccessary as if you simply delete Fallout4Pref.ini the game will auto generate new one next time it is opened.

Search for the line iPresentInterval=1, and change it to iPresentInterval=0

Next to use vsync got to the nvidia control panel or amd equivelant and apply vysnc here to avoid nasty screen tearing, as the above completely removes any frame rate cap.

[edit: another possibly simpler solution that may work for you is to play in a bordeless window mode.] A thankyou to renegade_sock for posting this last piece of info below.

Remove Mouse Acceleration

Mouse acceleration appears to be on by default in Fallout 4. To remove it we simply do more or less the same thing one did for skyrim. Open Fallout4.ini (C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\).

Scroll down to [Controls], and under this add the below line:
bMouseAcceleration=0

Next open up Fallout4Prefs.ini also in (C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\) and under [Display] add:
bForceIgnoreSmoothness=1

Next go to the second Fallout4Prefs.ini located at wherever you installed steam then open steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Fallout4, and under [Display] once again add:
bForceIgnoreSmoothness=1

Note: this will not remove it from menus or similar, but it removes it from 'within' the game.

How to skip intro when loading game.

Option 1:
To skip the intro every time you laod up Fallout 4, simply got to where you have steam installed, go to steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Data\Video and delete the below file:

GameIntro_V3_B.bk2

Note I would recommend making a backup of this elsewhere as whilst you can simply verify the integrity of your game files it is simply simpler to backup this file (as appossed to the .ini files that the game will auto generate for you if you delete).

Option 2:
First go to C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\ and open up Fallout4.ini and under [General] add:
SIntroSequence=1

Next in the same folder as above open up Fallout4Prefs.ini and once again under [General] add:
SIntroSequence=1

Now you should have no more pesky intro video.

How to change the game fov.

Unlike how you may have changed the fov in Skyrim, Fallout 4 requires a little more work. Not it requies changes to three files, there are two files called Fallout4Prefs.ini in two different locations and one called Fallout4.ini, all three need to be changed as below.

Firstly go to your Fallout4.ini (loacted at C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\) and under [Display] put the below:
fDefaultWorldFOV=XX
fDefault1stPersonFOV=YY

* where XX is you desired fov in third person.
* where YY is the desired fov in first person.
I feel 90 is what will probably be best for most, but tweak away. :)

In Fallout4.ini then in interface replace:
fSafeZoneXWide=64.0
fSafeZoneYWid=36.0
fSafeZoneXWide16x10=64.0
fSafeZoneYWide16x10=36.0
with
fSafeZoneXWide=64.0
fSafeZoneYWid=27.428571428571428571428571428571
fSafeZoneXWide16x10=64.0
fSafeZoneYWide16x10=27.428571428571428571428571428571

Next go to the Fallout4Prefs.ini and do the same directory as above (C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\), under [Display] put:
fDefaultWorldFOV=XX
fDefault1stPersonFOV=YY

* where XX is you desired fov in third person.
* where YY is the desired fov in first person.
I feel 90 is what will probably be best for most, but tweak away. :)

Next go to where you installed steam then open steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Fallout4 (a folder called Fallout 4 is in another folder called Fallout4, how many levels deep does this go ;) ). Next open the Fallout4Prefs.ini here and once again under [Display] add the below:
fDefaultWorldFOV=XX
fDefault1stPersonFOV=YY

* where XX is you desired fov in third person.
* where YY is the desired fov in first person.
I feel 90 is what will probably be best for most, but tweak away. :)

Note, the fov options under [Interface] in Fallout4.ini do not need to be changed for this to work.

Your FOV should now be changed for both first and third person. :)

Finally to change you gun model (and pip body fov) do the below.
If you find your pipboy to be to small, press ~, the type fov XX, where XX is a smallish number if you want it to be larger on screen and vice versa. This will take same trial and error like the fov to get what you like. Next type in refreshini, doing so will make it so your game will not revert to the default 80 fov. Next press ~ save your game and from that point on you should be good to go. :)

Default game fov (80):

Game fov when set to 110:

How to add 21:9 (ultrawide) support.

To have this game run in 21:9 without issue simply open Fallout4Prefs.ini in your documents (C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\), and change the following lines to how they are below:

For borderless windowed mode:
bTopMostWindow=1
bMaximizeWindow=1
bBorderless=1
bFull Screen=0
iSize H=XXXX
iSize W=YYYY

Where XXXX is whatever your vertical resolution is aand YYYY is whatever your horizontal resolution is.

For fullscreen mode:
bTopMostWindow=0
bMaximizeWindow=0
bBorderless=0
bFull Screen=1
iSize H=1080
iSize W=2560

Where XXXX is whatever your vertical resolution is aand YYYY is whatever your horizontal resolution is.

Next do the same for the second Fallout4Prefs.ini located in wherever you insalled steam then steamapps\common\Fallout 4\Fallout 4.

Currently the hud will stretch, but this is a good start and hopefully the hud can be fixed (i'll look into it).

As below in all it's wide glory:

Thankyou John Kimble for taking these two pictures of this ultrawide tweak in action. :)

Unlock Console

Some users have reported that be default there console doesn't work (i.e. pressing ~ does nothing). If it works for you the below isn't necessary. To solve this issue simply in windows go to control panel, then go to languages and set you keyboard layout to US.

Another solution that you can try that I myself can't test as I only have a US keyboard is to try using the '@ key. Thankyou Tharsghaard for this tweak.

This isn't a great long term fix if you don't want the US layout but it works for now.

Mouse not visible at menu.

The most common solution to this is if you have a gamepade plugged in is to unplug it., If you know you don't want to use a gamepad and don't want to unplug your controller everytime you load up the game the below will help. Likewise if you don't have a controller plugged in and have no cursor at the menu the game may think you do so disabling controller as below will help.

To solve this simply open Fallout4Prefs.ini (located in C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\), then scroll down to:
bGamepadEnable=1
and change it to:
bGamepadEnable=0

Thankyou D4rkKr1s for posting this fix in the forums.

Vertical and Horizantral Mouse Movement Different

If you do not like that the horizontal and vertical mouse movement is different in Fallout 4 there is a quick and easy way to fix it. Simply open Fallout4.ini (located in C:\Users\[name]\Documents\My Games\Fallout4\) and change the below:

fMouseHeadingYScale=.021
to
fMouseHeadingYScale=.03738

For other resolutions, simply multiply the number infMouseHeadingYScale, by the ratio of your monitor.

This should work for 16:9 resolutions and I have been unable to test it for ultrawide (21:9) or 4:3 resolutions.

Destiny Tip: The Best Way to Grind Ability Kills for Exotic Swords

$
0
0

Here's some advice on how to get elemental ability kills for exotic sword really fast. Take note that this is not a nitty-gritty guide but rather some quick tips on how to get it done a.s.a.p.

So here's some tips:
  1. Equip sword of the same element as the quest asks for.
  2. Get its ammo down to 1 by swinging the sword.
  3. Block (BUT DO NOT BLOCK ACTUAL INCOMING FIRE!), do not change weapons!
  4. If you die just quickly block that 1 ammo and repeat.
The reason this is not working for some people is if you have enough ammo for a full block charge, you end with 0 ammo and not 1. Why this works is if you block with 1 ammo that is not enough to really block anything, so the sword gets confused and acts as if you still have ammo to hit with thus dealing elemental damage.

Note: It will take no more than 20 minutes for this step of the quest on the moon killing thralls.

Here's another trick for Arc Swords on Hunter:
  1. Switch to Bladedancer
  2. Go to Skyhold Skywatch
  3. Equip the perk that lets your super unleash a wave of energy with R2
  4. Equip the perk that lets kills with Arc Blade regenerate Super energy
  5. (Optional) Equip Mask of the Third Man because why not
  6. Wait until 'enemies are moving against each other' or whatever, then go to the little room in the building the Hive ship crashed into, up on top of the cliff. You'll know it's the one when Hive start pouring out
  7. Arc blade each group of spawned mobs. When they spawn they won't be focussed on you, so they'll cluster up in the hallway. Killing them all with one Arc Swoosh will max your super out again. I did this for about 30 seconds on one Super charge. Must have killed fifty guys, and I got there just before the end.
This won't get you your entire quota, but it'll get you a hell of a lot of it for the time you spend. If you're just running around in circles farming Spinmetal and crying about the low drop rate for the elite sword mats, you may as well do it here. I was there for a few hours and the fighting event happened a few times, so you might be able to get the whole thing done in an evening. Who knows.

Another trick is the video you will see below which is the fastest way to get the Titan ability kills for the Exotic Void Sword.

Info:
Mission - Dark Beyond - Hard Difficulty.
Exotic Chest - The Armamentarium (For Two Grenades).
Primary - Grenadier Perk (Increases Grenade Energy On Kill).
Super - Armor Of Light
Grenade - Magnetic

There are many ways to grind ability kills for exotic swords for all classes. In fact, the tips below are just a part of them. But so far, I find the mentioned tricks below efficient and will give you lesser time in terms of grinding ability kills for exotic swords.
