Tera Online Gunner PvP Guide (Glyphs, Crystals, Gears and Combos)

This guide is solely meant for 3v3 (mainly solo queue) so if you see some things not mentioned here or want to add things I forgot feel free to. Some of these things I mention can be used for mass PvP or duels.

Glyphs

Purple = Must Have Glyphs
Green= Good Glyphs to Have
Blue= Option Glyphs
Yellow = Decent Glyphs
Red= No

Blast
Gunner's basic auto attack. This skill is useful because of the swift glyph proc as well for animation canceling the end of certain skills.

(3) Glyph of Power [Lv20] - Increases skill damage by 20%.
Ha, No I shouldn't even need to explain why this is useless.

(2) Glyph of Affirmation [Lv20] - Gain 5 Willpower on each hit.
Willpower is not something we need in PvP and even so this is useless.

(4) Glyph of the Swift [Lv20] - 15% chance to increase Attack Speed by 15% for 10 seconds.
Ok this glyph is all around useful. That extra attack speed lets you set up combos you would of not been able to. Also there is auto-attack weaving which can help cancel you animations earlier that I will bring up in the combo section.

Rolling Reload
One of the two i-frames that gunner have. Just by that you should know how important this skill is for mobility and re-positioning and dodging.

(4) Glyph of Energy [Lv20] - 35% chance to eliminate cooldown.
This Glyph IMO is a must have for any scene and especially 3v3. The resets make this skills insane and being able to roll 6 times in a roll can give you a lot of mobility and survivability.

(4) Glyph of Energy [Lv58] - 45% chance to eliminate cooldown.
Advance Version of Glyph of Energy with higher chance to reset.

(4) Glyph of Powerlink [Lv20] - Increases skill damage of Scattershot by 20% for a few seconds.
Most of you time after roll you use Scattershot. This combined with Scattershot damage buff is 45% increase in damage. Higher damage will equal more pressure.

Scattershot
One of the most spam-able skills you have. I highly suggest using this when only your mains skills are on CD to pump out more damage to put pressure on the enemy.

(4) Glyph of Power [Lv20] - Increases skill damage by 20%.
As mentioned above this along with powerlink on roll lead to a lot of damage. More damage is always good.

(4) Glyph of Power [Lv58] - Increases skill damage by 25%.
Advance Version of Glyph of Power with higher damage.

(2) Glyph of the Slick [Lv20] - Reduces recoil by 40%.
I have yet to find anything useless out of this yet. In any case yo don't need it.

(1) Glyph of Brilliance [Lv20] - Reduces MP cost by 50.
Good to use if you're 54/55 other wise don't bother.

Arc Bomb
Pretty much one of your most important setup skill in pvp. This stun is also long as hell. I highly suggest not to randomly throw it out unless you know for sure your opponent is in a animation lock or stagger/stun/sleep. DO NOT THROW THIS ON SOMEONE WHO WAS TENACITY OR GUARDIAN SANCTUARY UP.

(4) Glyph of Power [Lv20] - Increases skill damage by 20%.
20% of no damage is still no damage.

(4) Glyph of Power [Lv58] - Increases skill damage by 25%.
Advance Version of Glyph of Power with higher damage.

(4) Glyph of Lingering [Lv20] - Increases stun duration by 50%
Your bread and butter skill. None of your combo would work without this so make sure to always have this.

(2) Glyph of Brilliance [Lv20] - Reduces MP cost by 50.
MP shouldn't be a issue in PvP.

Time Bomb
One of your few CC skills. This skills knocks the opponent in the air after a few seconds and usually followed after Arc Bomb.

(5) Glyph of Power [Lv20] - Increases skill damage by 25%.
This skill hits surprisingly hard. Not bad to put into if you have extra points.

(2) Glyph of Affirmation [Lv20] - Gain 15 Willpower on a successful hit.
Willpower is not a really something we need in PvP.

Burst Fire
Hah. This skill is only good in PvE because of large hit box and stationary targets. Your not gonna get this in pvp. Unless you're playing against potatoes.

(4) Glyph of Restoration [Lv20] - Recovers 1% of total HP on each hit.
Don't Touch this skill in PvP.

(4) Glyph of Longshot [Lv20] - Increases range by 5 meters.
Don't Touch this skill in PvP.

(3) Glyph of Longshot [Lv58] - Increases range by 5 meters.
Don't Touch this skill in PvP.

(4) Glyph of Affirmation [Lv58] - Reduces Willpower cost by 10.
Don't Touch this skill in PvP.

Mana Missiles
Your secondary reliable source of damage after arcane barrage. I highly suggest only using this on CC target or on targets you have setup on your Time Bomb.

(5) Glyph of Carving [Lv20] - Doubles the chance to crit.
This glyph will make Mana Missiles crit a lot. Over all not a bad glyph to use.

(5) Glyph of Carving [Lv58] - Triples the chance to crit.
Advance Version of Glyph of Carving with high crit chance.

Retaliate
Your basic getup skill from a knockdown. Some how gunner retaliate is flashier.

(3) Glyph of Power [Lv20] - Increases skill damage by 20%.
This probably been repeated millions of times how useless this is.

(4) Glyph of Energy [Lv20] - Decreases cooldown by 20%.
Not a bad glyph but you really don't need it. You should be using recall as your secondary retaliate in case of emergency.

Point Blank
Similar to archer close quarters but a knock-back instead of KD. This skill goes through Kaia/Rally Cry/Mocking Shout. Amazing skill to peel dps off you or your healer or just to use as a mobility skill. This skill is also very useful to stop res in 3's since it goes through Kaia shield.

(3) Glyph of Influence [Lv20] - 20% chance to eliminate cooldown for Arc Bomb.
Doesn't seem like a bad glyph. However I haven't found much use for it yet and the 20% seems too low.

(5) Glyph of Power [Lv20] - Increases skill damage by 25%.
Weak skill with more damage is still weak skill.

(4) Glyph of Power [Lv58] - Increases skill damage by 25%
Advance Version of Glyph of Power with reduced glyph points.

(2) Glyph of Restoration [Lv20] - Recovers 2% of total HP on each hit.
More of a glyph to use for duels when you want to out heal your enemy. Not really a use for a place like Skyring.

(3) Glyph of Energy [Lv20] - Decreases cooldown by 25%.
Lower CD on one of your main peel skill? Obviously get this but not 100% needed.

Replenishment
Now this skill is pretty important. Not because of the mana or willpower but because of the chance to reset Arcane Barrage. Arcane Barrage is your most reliable burst skill and resets on it almost grants you kills.

(4) Glyph of Energy [Lv20] - Decreases cooldown by 25%.
Your going to rely on this skill a lot for Arcane Barrage resets for huge damage burst for the kills.

(3) Glyph of Energy [Lv58] - Decreases cooldown by 25%
Advance Version of Glyph of Energy with reduced glyph points.

(4) Glyph of Affirmation [Lv20] - Gains additional 50 Willpower when the skill is used.
Willpower is not something to worry about in PvP.

Rocket Jump
This skill is pretty great to either re-position or run away from your enemy. Use this after roll for extra distance covered. Not a i-frame so be careful when you use it.

(4) Glyph of Energy [Lv20] - Decreases cooldown by 25%.
This Glyph will help a lot with mobility and combined with Fleetfoot and you'll be running circles around people.

(3) Glyph of Energy [Lv58] - Decreases cooldown by 25%.
Advance Version of Glyph of Energy with reduced glyph points.

(6) Glyph of Fleeetfoot [Lv20] - Increases Movement Speed by 50% for 5 seconds.
Great mobility glyph however sometimes I don't use it because of it's high glyph points cost.

Arcane Barrage
Your most reliable damage of bursting someone down. This skill is a two party skill. First being the shot and then second being the detonation. Make sure you detonate it when the skill is on their back and close to their body for the double hit.

(4) Glyph of Power [Lv20] - Increases skill damage by 20%.
More damage on your 2nd hardest hitting skill? Obvious Choice here.

(3) Glyph of Power [Lv58] - Increases skill damage by 20%.
Advance Version of Glyph of Power with reduced glyph points.

(4) Glyph of the Swift [Lv22] - Increases Attack Speed by 30% until Arcane Barrage detonates.
I haven't found this useful because you have such a short time before it detonates that I haven't found much use for it.

(3) Glyph of the Swift [Lv58] - Increases Attack speed by 30% until Arcane Barrage detonates.
Advance Version of Glyph of the Swift with reduced glyph points.

(2) Glyph of Affirmation [Lv22] - Gain an additional 15 Willpower on each hit.
Willpower is not a issue in PvP.

HB-1
Your useful robot companion. He can help you get out of sticky situation and adds damage to your arcane barrage or self destruct for a stun.

(2) Glyph of Power [Lv28] - Increases skill damage by 100%.
Does not actually affect the robot's damage but the summoning damage. It can hit quite hard with this glyph but it's really hard to land.

Bombardment
Now this skill is great for PvE but honest the cooldown is too long you can tell it's coming from a million miles away. I would only use this if I have nothing to use and Balder Vengeance has already been used.

(5) Glyph of Carving [Lv34] - Increases the chance to crit by 50%.
You don't actually use this skill enough to make full use of it and I personally rarely use it.

(5) Glyph of Carving [Lv58] - Doubles the chance to crit.
Advance Version of Glyph of Carving with higher chance to crit.

(4) Glyph of the Swift [Lv34] - Increases casting speed by 25%.
Same with Glyph of Carving you don't use this skill enough to fully make use of it.

Command: Self-Destruct
I use this skill to setup for myself into Arc Bomb combo. This skills is pretty good since the range is unlimited and the stun range is not that bad.

(3) Glyph of Energy [Lv40] - Decreases Cooldown by 20%.
One of your main skills you're going to use to setup for you main combo. Lower CD means more setups.

ST-1
I really only use this to either put people into combat or use for detonate stun. Over all not a good skill but good for setups.

(3) Glyph of Energy [Lv46] - Decreases cooldown by 15%.
Not useful for this weak turret.

(2) Glyph of Energy [Lv58] - Decreases cooldown by 15%.
Advance Version of Glyph of Energy with reduced glyph points.

(4) Glyph of Power [Lv46] - Increases an ST's Attack power by 20%
Not useful for this weak turret.

(4) Glyph of Lingering [Lv46] - Increases an ST's duration by 30%
Duration is already long enough as it is.

(1) Glyph of Brilliance [Lv46] - Reduces MP cost by 100.
Not useful for this weak turret.

Command: Recall
This skill will save your life in sticky situations. Especially when your up against a zerker and your retaliate is down. Think if this skill as a secondary retaliate. This will leash to where your HB-7 is.

(4) Glyph of Energy [Lv52] - Decreases cooldown by 20%.
Lower CD for one of the best self peel is always good.

(3) Glyph of Energy [Lv58] - Decreases cooldown by 20%.
Advance Version of Glyph of Energy with reduced glyph points.

Balder's Vengeance
The hardest hitting skill in the entire game yet so far. The perfect setup with this skill will grant kills. Make sure your hitting the back before you you shoot this off or else it might not kill.

(5) Glyph of Energy [Lv58] - Decreases cooldown by 20%.
I highly doubt you can even get 2 Balder Vengeance in 1 round even with CDR. Then again you would be forced to to use it early on bad setups.

(4) Glyph of Energy [Lv58] - Decreases cooldown by 20%.
Advance version of Glyph of Energy with reduced glyph points.

(7) Glyph of Power [Lv58] - Increases skill damage by 20%.
I like using this mainly because it can make my this skill 100% one-shot if you hit from the back even without power buff or energy stars.


Crystals

Weapon Crystals
Fine Savage Niveot
Fine Forceful Niveot
Fine Salivating Niveot
Fine Swift Niveot

As of this patch gunners have no consist knockdowns besides HB-7 summon but that is rare so cruel niveot is useless. Craving won't help much with gunner since they have close to 100% crit rate on their skills so swift becomes the best option as the 4th crystal.

Armor Crystals
3x Fine Relentless Niveot
1x Fine Resolute Niveot

My reason for using resolute is because gunner have a shield they get when their HP reaches zero. Resolute can maybe help keep you alive in clutch situation so that's all the more reasoning to get it.

Jewelry Crystals
4x Griefing Vyrks
4x Powerful Vyrks

Now here comes the hard part to decide which one to use. If you can consistent keep up energy stars and shakans buff along with forceful proc then Griefing is better. However in any case where is power is not high Powerful zyrks will win in damage. This is also affect by the opponents PvP defence. I would just run 4x Griefing but there are cases where powerful vyrks do more damage.

Blast









Use Blast to Cancel Your Animations as well as the chance to set off the speed proc.

Rolling Reload











Running Resets allows you to roll multiples times depending on your RNG.

Arc Bomb










Set up combos by using Arc Bomb.

Command: Self Destruct










If people get into range of your robot detonate it to setup for your main combos.

Arcane Barrage










Detonate Arcane Barrage Behind target for back damage.

Replenishment










Let's you use Arcane Barrage twice in your combo.

Mana Missiles










Mana Missile is great to use in your knock up combo is arcane pulse is on CD. Make sure you aim it at the ground at where the person lands to get it to hit or else it will just go through the target.

Balder Vengeance












When your willpower is full and your teammates are fine go onto the healer and try to setup for the one-shot kill. Make sure you are hitting the back

Cancel Balder Vengeance with Recall.
