Credits: How to Solo PoE Level 34 The Forever Eater. Weapons, Armor & Tips ! by bk2insan3
Yesterday on the front page there was a guy who soloed the level 34 PoE and out of curiosity I decided to try it out. I was able to Solo it 2xs, not to sound super pro, but I saw a few people wanted to see a video and in my first solo attempt the video dropped so many frames I couldn't use the video. So I did it again and was able to get a clean video. I hope this post can help or even encourage others to try this out.
This is the Full video of my run. I'll make links into rounds so you don't have to sit and watch the entire thing.
I main as a warlock but any class can do it, but it's more difficult as a hunter. I use specific gear in PoE for an easier experience. If you don't have this gear i'll list alternatives you can use.(Warlock) I'll also list all the weapons I used for this run and why.
Weapons -
Primaries: FateBringer (365) - (Just Cause)
No Land Beyond (302) ( Heavy ammo glitch faster)
Word of Crota (331) - (Void on round 4)
Special Weapons: Black Hammer (365) - (Dat mag precision)
Shadow of Veils (365) - (Has the Highest Crit shot of all snipers)
Vestian Dynasty (331) - (This helps for Goblins to keep them from using shields)
Ice breaker (365) - (Backup free special ammo)
Heavy Weapons Gjallarhorn (365) -(....)
Truth (365) - (That Void Tracking + 8 Rockets)
Corrective Measure (300) - (When you heavy glitch you get more ammo every brick)
Super Good Advice (365) - (Extremely Useful if you get detained)
Gear: KellBreakers Mind Watchers Gloves Robe of the Exile
Deathsingers Herald Aaru's Passage (Shader)
With the Kellbreakers Mind you greatly increase recovery and super and on round 5 you it takes a while to get a super since trickle is on. So this helps a lot. most of the gear I had really was just to boost my Intellect and Discipline, you can use which ever gear fits you the most but you should have more I & D.
Make sure you have a helmet with inverse shadow just to speed up you super in round 5.
Round 1
Round one wasn't really that difficult. The safest place on this map is on the FAR right. Reason being there is no portals for Vex to spawn on that side and there is a ton of cover opposed to using the left side. I'd advise using Blackhammer for this part to get that DPS crit to finish him, I was using the Shadow of Veils since it does more damage but blackhammer is a better choice, Always make sure to kill ads. For about 30 seconds they won't spawn and you can get more crits. Some people shun the heavy ammo "glitch" but I did it on this round specifically because the next round you'll be back on the Vex and you will NEED tons of heavy ammo to avoid useless wipes.
Round 2
For this you need to cap 3 bases and it's near impossible to get around without getting one shot by vex so if you heavy ammo glitched in the round before you can get through this round easy. I suggest the Word of Crota and The truth. I tried to stay in the center of the map so It would be easy to get to any of the caps and with many purple bricks you can shoot your way through this round with Truth bullets.
Round 3
Brawler was a dumb modifier for a boss but whatever. Again I heavy ammo glitched just to maximize on heavy but using heavy won't get you though this round that easy. I ran around the map as much as possible and stood in random places to get some critical shots on the boss, but be sure to kill off ads and not to just to shoot the boss, those damn captains.... but don't forget that brawler is on and you can slap, punch or stab them to oblivion. I mainly used arc for this part and ghorn to speed things up. This part you can finish in 10mins.
Round 4
This part was kind of annoying since small arms was in favor and it was a Target to take out, BUT it did help once I took down the shields with the truth. There's a spot in the back where you get excellent cover and you can spam rockets at the target since he only spawns in one part. I had trouble killing them with JUST rockets so make sure to have that pistol on deck to smoke his ass.
Round 5
This was the most challenging part of it all. It took a little over a hour. So for this part again I tried to get as many critical shots as possible before the right side ads spawned and before Qodron Eye spawned. For this part the most useful weapon will be the SGA. Sometimes it's hard to tell if Qodron Eye spawns and if you don't kill him in time its an automatic wipe... well if you don't have a SGA.
I can't stress this enough, kill as much ads as possible!! You'll need all the ammo you can get and that 30 second period where the don't spawn you can get a bunch of critical shots. On a side note, if you see any Major Goblins KILL THEM WITH FIRE. But seriously kill them on sight. They come from the left hand side and if you get shot once from him you are gonna die just cause he shoots that next shot super fast, so if you see him kill it asap. That was the reason I had to wipe so many times. There's usually 2 that spawns per wave so just keep a eye out for him. There was also a tip I got from reddit where if you shoot Qodrons Eye head off he'll just run to you so if you see him, pop that top off. Make sure you kill him as much times as possible just to get that jail breaker buff just so you won't wipe either! I died many times just cause my health was low and I got detained and it was instakill since I couldn't break the shield in time.
Get as many Critical shots on qodron on down time (meaning not many ads) and once he gets to a low enough health I switched to rocket to finish him off. In the video he had a smidget of health so I had to finish him off with the sniper.
I'll be doing this on my hunter as well. The strat will be different since the hunter doesn't have much of a defense other than going invisible. You can do this with a titan the same exact way and use a bubble for protection. With Self Res you have a second chance.
Overall the run was pretty fun, but yet challenging. I'll try every week soloing the Lvl 34 and give tips that I used. Hope this can help some of you guardians out a bit!
