Defensive Light Fury Build in Dragon Nest [Guide]

Here's a defensive build for Light Fury on Dragon Nest. It will give you the basic gears, talisman, jades, heraldries and skill build for a defensive type Light Fury. In addition, it will teach you strategies on how to be a defensive Light Fury on the game.

What is Light Fury :
1. A support class in Dragon Nest
2. Have less action and movement compared with DPS classes (perfect gameplay for lazy people like me lol)
3. Mindblown healing class you cannot imagine with just yourself.

Objective as Light Fury
1. Keeping parties stay healthy and fit until the end of the run
2. Provide boost attack buff from Chakra Heal
3. Provide maximum safety by giving damage reduction buff as long as possible
Gears

Anything but HP + defense + magic defense
either 70L or 80A is fine
70L = High HP moderate defense, easy and expensive enhancement, won’t drop upon enhancing.
80A = High defense moderate HP, hard enhancement, require pro trick.

Here are the gear details:
+9 BDL Mask
+12 BDL Vest
+10 BDL Greave
+7 BDL Grip
+12 BDL Walker
both weapon +6 Meteor Lancea

Skill/Technique Necklace +1 Chakra Miracle – Defense and Magic Defense
Skill/Technique Earrings +1 Blessing of Ajna – Defense and Magic Defense
Skill/Technique Ring +1 Chakra Energy – both attack power plus vitality
Skill/Technique Ring +1 Chakra Heal – both attack power plus vitality

5 pcs of Superior Wind Jade 3rd stat Vitality
9 pcs of Superior Vitality Jade
4 pcs of Superior Destruction 3rd stat Vitality

Costume Page
4 pcs of Epic level costume
1 pc of SWAG GOOGLES (it’s magic and gives HP MP 2%)
1 pc of Waiter Crook.

Heraldry Page

Unique plates got bonus Vitality stats
Whole main plates are defensive one. (those are 3rd def plates)
3 red plates are junks with defense too.

Talisman

200% = rare 70 iron wall and tent
175% = rare 70 health and life vitality
125% = rare 70 fatal and destruction
100% = rare 70 what the flip these just junks
bonus slot from left to right = rare 70 wind, bear, mana, and junk talisman

Skill Build
The point of this skill page :

better movement and better playstyle

especially for lv 1 triple edge to extend your tumble. Good for avoiding AOE attacks.

lv 1 Feint, guess you pretty rarely die if you manage yourself to gear up like this.

aerial kick stun kick uh nevermind, playstyle matter, you may leave this both if you only going to PVE

max HP = max
max MP = 1
max MP regeneration = max (the reason is in bdn phase 1 mages, also for pvp usage)

Lvl 6 fist skill thingy to quicklt poke the enemy especially in phase 1 Black Dragon.
Hidden : Ring Of Energy Lv 2
Just pointing out what the flip is this tree
(call it Lazy Build LF)

Spectral Gaze lv 1? for baiting any guided attacks, especially fire trails in 2nd stage Volcano Nest

(not sure in chaos meteor Black Dragon, only tested once and it’s working)

Chakra Illusion Lv 3? not enough SP man…Max it for short CD spam run there and there.

Chakra Ring Lv 16 for 25% damage reduction, stack it with Chakra Heal Lv 14 (EX), way to go parties.

(by maxing this you are ready to go fully supportive LF and you already lose out your LoD SP investment, so think twice before you start to go pure support, or else you will die bored because no damaging skills XD)

Chakra Punch (Passive) :
PVE just for a brake of “oh-shit-i-almost-hit-something”
PVP for filler combo against grounded enemy.

oh about Line of Darkness because I’m using it for movement, not enough SP for maxing. But the light DPS is more preferable

Left tree, any heal and cure skills are maxed, even Ring Strike, but sorry for healing rabbit :<
Hidden : Spark EX
obvious thing to take them all first before maxing bringer skills

Why go defensive build?

Simple, your job is just maintain the meditation and provide maxed level of chakra ring for damage reduction booster (because of some mechanics that won’t allow me to heal them, especially after phase 3 black dragon stage). High Defense allows you to tank the most damaging skills in Dragon Nest. Maxed heal skill build is just for emergency case if your parties are about to die. Usually you will heal them when their HP are around 40%, or when something very bad happen (e.g 2 or 3 people stepping on a ring of lava in mino BDN stage). Another reason why my costume page is not even full of epic parts. Because the bonus stats from those parts (4 epic gives defense and vitality in certain %, 1 magic grade googles give me 2% HP MP)

This build allows you to enjoy your hot served food infront your desktop, or texting/have a phone with your GF while you still meditating and watching parties HP. True casual gamer seriously lol. Also this build allows you to tank the most damaging skills, so you only receive debuff but your HP still looks healthy as fine.

The true disadvantages of this build is just, you will having hard time in soloing nest/dailies. But still, survival is guaranteed with this gear build. You can even solo Phase 3 Black Dragon stage if you wanted to.

On top of that, most parties pick your LF as a support, a formidable support

About Skill Plate

As a Light Fury, you will provide such good timing heal (not spamming heal because it can be done with meditation), therefore I choose action speed for :
1. Chakra Miracle (CM) for 1 second animation (immediately heal per tick for 3 seconds)
2. Chakra Heal (CH) for fast pulse of heal
3. Sunshine Spark for fast throwing animation
and 1 Chakra Energy (CE) plate with heal rate. because this build maxed and +1 ring’ed the CE skill (Lv 18/17 current build, 24,8% heal for 3 lowest HP in your party).

For example of utilizing every heal in every cases, here there goes.
1. The moment when you/your party got low HP
CE first > cast CM incase your CE didn’t heal any > cast CR
2. The moment you are safe and your party is in danger (e.g. eat stomp, step into lava, got dangerous debuff)
CM first > CE to make sure your party healed full > approach near party > Chakra Cure > continue CH to make sure your party won’t get any dangerous hit.

Skill Jades

For armor, just put 4 pcs Mending Dragon Jades (it’s giving you a buff to make your heal gain bonus 20%) bonus effect stacked till 80%, cooldown is like 30 seconds. It is also suggested this to my party to do so. That’s very useful, You can CE people until full HP if the buff is triggered. Or simply meditating and the heal rate grow higher.

For helmet, no question about the jade that giving you SA buff. Continue YOLO meditating after you being knockout by an attack of enemy.
for weapons, critical resistance jade especially in 80 Nest.
And just put 1 pc of Crocodile Dragon Jade on my crook, for enemy SA reduction
(oh really? but it seems doesn’t works. The monsters could k.o me to the ground when meditate, also because the only thing keep hits enemy it’s just my perma cat summoned on the ground, it has no effect after all).
