You've just hit level 15, you're ready to dive head first into your first team instance. So you hit up the solo queue, or perhaps send a message to some friends or the world chat, waiting to absolutely destroy it.
But first, maybe you should back up a little. If you go in there right off the bat at level 15 without any information you'll die.
Horribly.
Trust me, it happened to me over and over.
So, using my many (many) past mistakes in the world of Taichi Panda, I'm going to try clear up some points about this first instance to help you get through mostly unscathed.
Phase 1: Gear
Maybe you're thinking, "I just beat the last boss in Norar's Woods, I can take this easy!" But, you might want to reconsider. Before you even attempt this instance, you want to make sure your gear can stand up to a lot of beating. As a general rule of thumb, I would say make sure each team member has at least 7,000 might. Of course, if you're going in with your level 30 friend with fully fortified orange gear, this is different, but for a team of 3 level 15s, a combined might of 20,000-25,000 is optimal.
So, you've got the gear down? Great! On to the actual fighting now!
Phase 2: The waves of enemies
You enter the instance. You're in a large circular area, with nowhere to run. Then, all of a sudden a group of enemies spawn! You might be thinking, "Yeah, I could kill those monsters in the single player missions pretty easily. This should be a piece of cake". Well...these monsters easily have at least 20 times as much health as the ones you're used to fighting. AND they spawn in groups, so you don't want to be caught alone with a pack of them. The key to the first stage is to stick together with your team. You want all 3 of you to tackle each group of enemies, and if you methodically take down each group like that, you'll make it through to the boss fight in no time.
Phase 3: The boss(es)
This is the real challenge of this instance, and the part where most players died over and over (and over). First, one giant ape will spawn. A few seconds later, a second giant ape will spawn. This is where things get interesting. You have to beat them within the time limit while dodging both of their attacks. The most important piece of advice for this stage is to keep moving. If you stand still for more than a few seconds, you'll probably end up getting rolled into by one of the two apes. You should always keep an eye out for the red circles on the floor. A second after it disappears, the ape will do a powerful smashing attack in that radius, and you definitely don't want to be caught in it. Your dodging ability is your best friend for this last fight, and it's also important to know which skills make you invulnerable for certain periods of time. Aside from that, you just need to stay mobile, dodge attacks and keep attacking until they fall.
tl;dr:
7,000 might per team member (at least)
Stay with your teammates
Always keep moving during the boss fight
And that concludes my beginner's guide to Demon Realm! I hope you learned a bit about how you should tackle this, as it's quite challenging if you aren't prepared for what's inside.
Good luck!
