MindBlower: TH9 DE Farming Base on Clash of Clans

Welcome to my first base design thread. Now please read this through. It is important to not just see a base, but read about it and how it works. Each part of the base has a specific purpose, each placement is for a reason. If you want to edit the base feel free, but be wary that results may not be as good. Also please do not try to pass this off as your own design. That just is not fair to me because of how much work I have done on this base. Now remember once again, read the whole thing, do not just leave the thread because of how it looks, as you wont be able to dig deeper. If you do not have time to read the whole thing, that’s fine. I would specifically suggest to look at the defense logs and special features. Any tips are welcome as it is always evolving and changing. Also if you have made an edited version of the base feel free to post it here. Also, defense logs are always very much appreciated.


The name is based on how attackers feel after they have attacked. From an attacker’s standpoint the DE looks easy to take. Smart attackers will realize teslas are in core, but some attackers won’t realize it and get fried. When the attack is over, the attacker is mind blown on how he or she could have possibly failed when it looked like an easy raid, hence the name.



The aim of this this base is to protect your hard earned DE from those greedy attackers. The base is meant to trick attackers and make them fail. You can get some pretty funny replays from this base. The base’s middle layer is meant to keep troops from going to the core and the core has a ton of DPS in it so if an attacker makes it to the core, his or her troops will be quickly killed.



Anti WB Core: Wallbreakers hate double walls, absolutely hate them! So in this base double walls are used to make wall breakers less useful. Wallbreakers are more inclined to go to single walls rather than double walls and will walk halfway around the base to avoid this pesky double walls. When the wall breakers do make it to the single walls leading to the core, they will be shot by teslas and tossed off by spring traps. This now makes it so troops have to break through to the core while being shot at by teslas, x-bows, mortars and various other defenses.


Anti Archer Queen Core: We just talked about double walls so if they work well why use some triple walls? Well when I first made this base a giant based attack failed to penetrate my core but a level 20 queen was able to shoot over the double walls and get my DE. I was pretty mad so I made some triple walls where the queen could get the DE so the Queen was out of range. Now for an Archer Queen to even touch my DE storage she needs to break into the core while being shot at by teslas, x-bows, mortars, and various other defenses.


Discrete Anti-Hog Ring: You might say, no one uses hogs so why is this needed? Well people still do use hogs just not very frequently. The main DE farming armies are giant based and balloonion. Both of those armies’ main troop is just like hogs, as they go for defenses over other buildings. So just like hogs and anti-hog ring will apply to these troops too. This will split the balloons up from the minions and the giants from whatever troop is supporting them. Then the supporting troops will be without a meat shield and die very quickly.


Anti Core Funneling: The second layer of the base is very open for a good reason, to avoid troops from going to the core. When the middle is sectioned off, the core might be the closest thing to some troops and it only has one layer of walls like the sections would. The openness of the middle is so that other buildings not in the core are closer and easier to get to rather then the core.


Jump Spell: Yes a jump spell could cause problems, but the anti-core funneling should help troops ignore the jump spell and not many people farm with jump spells.


CC Radius: The CC is very easy to lure but I would rather have it lurable than have my DE stolen.
