GUIDE'S ABSTRACT:
As we all know when talking about the arena, usually, almost all of the players thinks in a way that having High Tier [Souls] guarantees them a sure victory inside the arena, well, in some cases that can be true but what's the sense of having high tier souls if you can't fully utilize their effects potential? You can't just enter the arena and start hitting your enemies recklessly without thinking about your every move, that could turn things into a disaster and worst you might end up losing to other players with an organized combination set of Low & High Tier [Souls].
GUIDE'S OBJECTIVES:
This guide never guarantees that you'll win all of your battles inside the Arena, but knowing the insights given here might help you win almost 80% of your battles.
The goal of this guide is to provide insights to other players on how they can utilize their Arena skills and possibly turn the tables while facing stronger opponents inside the arena.
Before proceeding on the discussion about arena strategies let us first enumerate some of the Pros and Cons of entering and challenging other players inside the Arena:
PROS:
You are not required to have a whole set of high tier Souls binded to your character to participate and win inside the Arena.
You have full control over your squad, thus, giving you a chance to utilize your own strategies.
The Battle System's Action Bar allows you to predict your squad and your opponent's movement(turns).
You can claim great rewards by participating over 50 times before each Season ends(losses counts).
Having strong friends in-game can also give you an advantage inside the Arena because of the fact that you can never face a friend on your friend's list as an opponent inside the main Arena.
By winning a match you'll earn 1 Elune Badge which later on you can trade in exchange for high tier Souls (Will be later change to +3 badge/win and -1 badge/loss).
Arena consumes Arena Tickets instead of Stamina Points.
CONS:
The Attack Order (Action Bar) of characters can change depending on which skill/action you will choose during your character's turn (you can also turn this to your own advantage).
You will still need luck in some battles.
IMPROVING ARENA SKILLS
INSIGHTS ON HOW TO WIN AGAINST STRONGER OPPONENTS INSIDE THE ARENA
In able for you to win against stronger opponents you may need to have in-depth knowledge about the following:
How to use the Action Bar into your own advantage.
Knowing your own set of Binded Souls and Utilizing them in arena battles.
Learning how to scout your enemies.
HOW TO USE THE [ACTION BAR] INTO YOUR OWN ADVANTAGE?
What is the [ACTION BAR]? The Action Bar is one of the battle interfaces that this game has that can be found on the upper-left side of your phone's screen that shows the attack order of all the characters involved in the current fight. Learning how to make use of the Action Bar could give you an upperhand in utilizing your character's movements and strategies inside the Arena.
Note: Be sure to frequently look at your Action Bar before initiating an attack for there can be times that choosing a different skill the Action Bar could change your character and your enemies whole attack order. Refer to the images 1 & 2 below:
(IMAGE 1)
(IMAGE 2)
As you can see from (IMAGE 1) if you choose to initiate Gerard's [Normal Attack] he'll have to wait for another 5 turns before he can have his turn again.
But by choosing to initiate the [Guardian Behemoth] Soul (refer to IMAGE 2) he can have the advantage to launch another attack in just 2 turns after the action is initiated, thus, giving you an advantage to do more damage on your enemy.
CONCLUSION: By having a know-how on this method you can greatly increase your team's coordination and winning rate or you can also worsen it by initiating the wrong moves (meaning you can't solely depend on this in winning all your battles inside the arena). Though this method increases your winning capabilities, remember that this method also had a downside in it. I mean, it is true that you can manipulate your characters attack order but that is not the only case here. Your enemies attack order can change too depending on their chosen action. Worst is opponents inside the arena use random attack patterns so you might want to come up with some strategies and work on your team's Equipped Souls to fully utilize this method, which will become our next topic.
KNOWING YOUR OWN SET OF BINDED [SOULS] POTENTIAL AND UTILIZING THEM IN ARENA BATTLES.
In this game, we all know that, mostly, all of the players doesn't have the privilege of acquiring High-Tier Souls instantly. so a majority of players have to cope up with that by binding Low-Tier Souls that can complement their other Souls or a few of their Mid-Tier Souls and later on you'll find out that the Arena is not all about players with High-Tier Souls. By entering the arena you'll see a great number of High Rank players using farmable Souls (Low~Mid Tier Souls).
List of different Types of Souls:
OFFENSIVE
(Fire Souls tend to have High Attack)
DEFENSIVE
(Earth Souls have Higher HP compared to other elements)
SUPPORT
(Wind Souls specializes in Disabling and Movement Skills)
HEALING
(Water Souls specializes in Healing and Reviving team members)
List of some Souls (Low~Mid Tier) that can usually be seen used by High Rankers inside the Arena:
GUARDIAN BEHEMOTH(Earth)
(Farmable/Can be summoned using Friend Points)
QUICK STEP(Wind)
(Can be summoned using Friend Points)
COMPOSURE(Wind)
(Farmable/Can be summoned using Friend Points)
DIZZY(Wind)
(Can be acquired from barrage battles)
RESET(Water)
(Can be acquired from combining Souls/Can be summoned using Friend Points)
REVIVE(Water)
(Can be acquired from combining Souls/Can be summoned using Friend Points)
LULLABY(Earth)
(Can be acquired from combining Souls/Can be summoned using Friend Points)
Utilizing This Souls Can Turn A Losing Battle Into A Glorious Victory. I'll give an example (Refer to the image below). At first this is a situation where i am in a disadvantage because the enemy's Gerard still has a full HP and as you can see my Alyria only have 2,988 HP left but since my [Composure II] already finished it's cooldown time, knowing I would still loose even if I picked the other option which is the normal attack, I pushed my luck and use [Composure II]. Luckily the Souls special effect enabled, thus, giving me another 2 turns that leads me into winning this battle.
LEARNING HOW TO SCOUT YOUR ENEMIES.
Scouting your enemies is possible in this game. Yes it is, you can view your opponents Souls and Stats giving you the chance to initiate a strategy before fighting someone and gives you the chance to counter their Souls. You can scout your enemies by tapping their character icon which is normally at the left side of their In-Game-Name(IGN) or you can also search their names if they're not in the top 31 players then click on their character icon. (Refer to the Image Below)
OVERALL CONCLUSION: In increasing your winning rate you have to learn to make use of what you have and what the game has to offer you. Now that you know about some of the important insights about the arena the least that you could do now is to train your Characters and come up with your very own strategy that fits your own fighting style then kick some ass inside the Arena.
