In this page, you will learn how to build your Raven towards PVE in Dragon Nest. You will learn the proper skill builds, gears, accessories, jades and plates for a Raven which is PVE-oriented.

Note: We will not be detailed on each skills as we all know that you have enough knowledge already on your skills. Instead, we will be giving you the reason why we choose to max or not max certain skills to address to your concerns or to resolve probably issues and conflicting ideas. ;)

Assassin Skill Tree
Fan of Edge- At paper you the skill is not that impressive but in reality, it is darn good! Take note that this skill's board damage is PER SHURIKEN and, imagine what it can do to the HP bar of the enemy when they take full hits. For example, if you manage to hut 6 shuriken on the enemy, then your total damage to it would be 2856% + 208788! Not to mention that the skill has low CD! It's one perfect DPS skill. So, why leave it at low level?

Fake Clog- Many would disagree with us on leaving this skill in this state but we think that the your normal Tumble skills is pretty sufficient. Based from our experience, we usually don't get problems in evading enemies especially in PVE wherein enemies have attack patterns. Level 2 we think is pretty sufficient.

Mind Conquer- This may be a good passive skill to max at level 50 wherein there's not enougj mana food gears but, with the current level 70 cap and the release of so many gears that can boost your MP, then you might consider leaving it to 1 for prerequisite as we think MP regen is more important to max out.

The rest of the skills not included in the reasoning is pretty basic and self-explanatory.

Chaser Skill Tree
Open Edge- Good damage and has a very short cooldown of only 9 seconds. In addition the casting speed is quite fast which makes it an overall great skill. Note: This skill can be leveled to 11 or 16. If you choose to max this skill, then you must sacrifice SP on some of your skills. You can drop some points on Rain Drop and use a skill ring on it instead.

Applause- Your main skill as a Raven. Bonus Tips: Face slightly to the right or left corner so you can score a double hit which basically doubles your board damage also. Note: It is recommended that you get a damage skill plate for this.

Rake- We don't know if this skill is broke  or what but atm, take advantage of it. Based from our experience, you will be able to deal the full board damage both on the throwing and return animation of the skill. Bonus Tips: It is suggested to use this skill at point blank range and wait for it to return to take advantage of its maximum damage. Note: Get a damage plate to deal more damage.

Rain Drop- Just like what we said earlier, you can sacrifice some points on this to max Open Edge. Just use tough accessories to level it. This skill does tremendous burst damage with all three charges. Note: If you do love its burst damage then you can drop Open Edge to level 11 (just use skill ring to increase the level if you want) and max out this skill.

Punishment- Nothing but pure raw damage! This skill is really good in terms of dealing damage. Note: Use a damage plate for this.

The End- Your ultimate skill which has very high burst damage. Bonus Tip: Some players plate this with damage but we recommend not. Instead, plate Crow's Dead Fall as you don't usually use your ultimate.

Fade- We know you are obviously having second thoughts about this skill because of the 35% increase in damage taken. The reality is that you won't really feel that 35% damage taken especially when you are good in dodging. Remember that enemies in PVE has attack patterns which you can easily memorize and doge in no time. This is your steriod as a Chaser and you will definitely wreck havoc once you max this skill. Bonus Tip: Your The End ulti will surely benefit from the 35% increase in physical attack damage.

Recieve Edge: Extra aerial evasion won't hurt but rather hell you in most ocassions. Better take this skill.

Burning Coal- Your emergency escape skill when you are in a bad spot like casting Rake or Applause in the wrong place and moment. Better get atleast level 1.

Illusion Step- Can be activated by pressing space bar right after your tumble. What this skill does to you is it can extend your iFrame. However, if you don't really need that as you think your evasion skills are sufficient, then leave this skill alone.

Access Chain- Can be a good skill to give your Raven more mobility. Get at least 1 level.

Dedicate Crow- This skill works like Dancer's Ecstatic Dance but in reverse- When the boss is 100% health, your entire party will get 60% increased damage. The buffed damage decreases the lower health the boss is, and stops giving extra damage completely when the boss is at 30% health.

Raven Skill Tree
The Raven tree is pretty basic. You need to max all needed skill except for Umbra because you will be short in SP.

Now that we're done with the skill build, let's proceed to the proper gears for this raven pve build.

First thing that we should take into consideration is how to increase our damage. We can determine it by seeing the Physicall Attack gains of each STR or AGI.

1 STR= .380 phy. atk.
1 AGI= .375 and 3.5 CRIT

At first you will choose STR but the true winner is AGI. STR gives a lot of phy. atk but AGI gives a fair phy. atk and CRIT. Note that this is a PVE build which means that CRIT stat is very important to boost your damage. So basically, you need to stack more AGI than STR. Talking about other damage boosting stat, FD will be a great addition to your gears.

In general, we need FD, CRIT, AGI and STR to make our Raven more beefy.

What are the set of gears we need?

Desert Dragon Legendary set
When these equipments are upgraded, they give incredible stat bonuses to your Raven.

I can't afford this Legendary Grade set yet. Is there any other option?
You can go with Full Moon Set or New Moon Set (see image below) or, you can mix them up.
If you are able to hit the crit cap easily, You can simply go Full Moon (see image below) since you don’t need the crit as much.
It works vice-versa as well, if you have trouble hitting the crit cap, you can go New Moon for the extra crit bonus!

Some good mix and match combinations are Two Full Moon and Five New Moon, this will give you more FD than if you went pure, but also lower P.atk bonuses while keeping the Crit increases from New Moon.

Alternatively you can go Three Full Moon and Four New Moon, this combination is the strongest one without factoring in Legendaries. It will give you a high amount of FD, while retaining the Patk increases as if you went with a full set of either one, losing only on some health and crit.

The last set would be Five Full Moon and Two Legendary Grade Weapon this is the best set you can get, without including the elusive Cr9escent Moon FD set which I won’t talk about here, due to it’s rarity. This set gives the highest FD you can get from armors and weapons as well as the highest P.atk increases.

Bonus Tip: If you can hit the CRIT cap, you can just go with 5 Full Moon and then work hard to get Legendary Grade weapons. In this way, you will get as much Phy. Atk for your Raven.

In terms of accessories, here are the recommended ones for a Raven.

Skill Accessories:
Necklace: Crows Dead Fall +1

Earrings: Rain Drop +1 OR Dedicate Crow +1 (If you decided to leave Rain Drop at Level 11, then take theDedicate Crow Skill Earrings, if you have it at 15, then take Rain Drop.)

Rings: Applause +1 or Punishment +1 or Rake +1 or Open Edge +1 (In the future, there might be a +1 plate releasing, in which case it might be possible to get Open Edge to level 21.)

DDN Unique Rings

The lure of these rings is that they give 2.8% patk as well as an 8% Elemental attack increase. Be sure to take the p.atk version of these, and not the matk or the hybrid.

DDN Legendary Rings

These would be the rings of choice if you can afford them. They give a ton of Patk, as well as 4.88% p.atk increase in the potential and several other stat % increase. Be sure to take the P.atk version of these, and not the M.atk or the hybrid.

Tough Accessories:

These benefit Ravens only, as they give alot of Dark attack at the cost of losing 70 Accessory stats. They do not drop anymore in Sea, and can only be bought by those who already have it. If you have these, I suggest you use them.

Recommendation for Ravens:

Assuming you do not have Tough Earring or Necklace or, getting a Skill Necklace and Earring, and DDN Unique Grade rings, or if you can afford them, DDN Legendary Grade rings.

For Skill accessories, try to aim for the 350 P.atk and 3.5% Light/Dark Attack Option!

In terms of Plate options, here are the standard for DPS class like Ravens:

Destruction, Wind, Bear, Life Vitality, Health, Iron Wall, Tent, Fatal

Fatal plate would just be optional as Assassin can achieve the crit cap without the use of a Fatal Plate, so you may choose to leave it out for something like a trash plate that has a 3rd stat that’d be more useful.

3rd Stat Plate Options:

In order of power: Final Damage > Attack Power > Agility > Bear

As a Chaser you want to squeeze out a lot of damage, so offensive stats with your plates are what you should aim for.

Agility and Bear are interchangeable, however if you’re missing out on some crit, take Agility obviously.

The last part would be the determining of the Jades to be used. But first, be reminded that:

Armor can slot two Blue Jades.

Weapons can slot one Blue Jade, and one Red Jade

Rings can slot one Red Jade each.

Necklaces and Earrings can each slot one Blue Jade.

Armors:

Ideally you should go High grade Wind Jades, and High Grade Life Vitality Jades for your armors. There have been many people going Wind Jades and Bear Jades, but you can refer to this thread on why this might be a bad idea.

A worthy alternative would be High Grade Wind Jades with Vitality 3rd stat, and High Grade Strength Jades with Vitality 3rd stat. Theoritically, you should be left with 450k health and around a 3-4k Increase, assuming +8 armors.

Weapons:

Assuming you do not have Legendary Grade Weapons, you should get a High Grade Wind Jade, and High Grade Dark Attack Jade for Ravens, with Rippers obviously going for a High Grade Fire Attack Jade.

Rings:

Again, use the elemental attack jade of your respective class for these.

Necklace and Earring:

Here you can choose to increase your damage further by using Wind Jades, or get more survivability with Life Vitality Jades.

Skill Jades

Skill jades are what replaces Suffix effects, in the new Jade System, we have 1 slot for each weapon, and armor piece. Weapon skill jades have a different slot shape then Armor skill jades, so you can only put Offensive Jades on Weapons, and Defensive jades on Armors.

Offensive Jades have a 10 second duration, and a 60 second cooldown, they can also stack, but only by one person at a time. You cannot, for example, have 5 people running Ghost Town Jades, and reduce 50% Dark Resist. You can however, run two Ghost town jades, and reduce 10% Dark Resist.

Defensive Jades have a 5 second duration, and a 30 second cooldown, they too can stack, able to heal you for 15-17k health when you get hit, which is a pretty sizeable amount. Note that in PvP, Defensive Jades will recover 157 mana per jade, instead of heal you.

In PvP, all Jades have the same cooldown and duration, but half the effect.

  • Ghost Town Skill Jade: -5% Dark Resist
  • Raider Skill Jade: -7% Physical defence
  • Resistance Skill Jade: Recover 3588 Health, Increase Physical and Magical Defence by 10%
  • Adamantium Skill Jade: Recover 3588 Health, Increase Physical Defence by 20%
  • Swift Skill Jade: Recovery 3588, Increase Movement Speed by 10%
  • Welton Hollow Skill Jade: -5% Fire Resist
  • Raider Skill Jade: -7% Physical defence
  • Resistance Skill Jade: Recover 3588 Health, Increase Physical and Magical Defence by 10%
  • Adamantium Skill Jade: Recover 3588 Health, Increase Physical Defence by 20%
  • Swift Skill Jade: Recovery 3588, Increase Movement Speed by 10%

Note: Underlined jades are highly recommended.
