Batman: Arkham Knight AR Challenges Guide
Note: Open the AR Challenges via the Main Menu (press pause when in-game).
A.R. Challenges are divided into six different categories, each designed to test the limits of Batman’s abilities.
Unlockables: Completing all AR Challenges in super fast times will help unlock the following Achievements / Trophies…
* “Sins of Youth” (10 Gamerscore / Bronze Trophy) — Achieve 23 Stars in AR Challenges.
* “Fortunate Son” (15 Gamerscore / Bronze Trophy) — Achieve 46 Stars in AR Challenges.
* “Absolution” (20 Gamerscore / Bronze Trophy) — Achieve 69 Stars in AR Challenges.
AR Challenge: “Batmobile Race: Mental Blocked”
Get ready to complete all Batman: Arkham Knight AR Challenges!
Maka & Brian will be your voice-over commentators guiding you through the game’s challenges with handy gameplay tips on the tough spots.
How To Unlock: You unlock this challenge as soon as you complete Riddler Trial 1 in the “Riddler’s Revenge” quest.
Complete a single lap of the Riddler’s fiendish course on its hardest configuration as quickly as possible. Drift the Batmobile around corners to earn a time bonus.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Complete a lap in less than 0:42 seconds.
AR Challenge: “Batmobile Race: Condamned”
How To Unlock: You unlock this challenge as soon as you complete Riddler Trial 9 in the “Riddler’s Revenge” quest.
Race a single lap of the Riddler’s most dangerous course, with Mr. E. Nigma himself in control of the hazards. Earn a time bonus by drifting effectively around corners.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Complete a lap in less than 1:00 minute.
AR Challenge: “Batmobile Race: Midnight Fury TT”
Take on the Bleake Island time trial. Choose your route wisely, looking out for time-bonuses and shortcuts along the way to get the quickest possible time.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Complete the course in less than 1:45 minutes.

AR Challenge: “Batmobile Race: City Heat TT”
Race the clock to complete the Miagani Island track. You’ll need to know every street, shortcut and back alley if you want to be the fastest wheels in Gotham.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Complete the course in less than 1:05 minute.
AR Challenge: “Batmobile Race: Crushonator”
Race one lap of the Riddler’s infamous high pressure course. Be careful not to crush yourself along the way. Earn a time bonus by drifting effectively around corners.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Complete a lap in less than 1:00 minute.
AR Challenge: “Batmobile Combat: Untouchable”
Tip: You’ll need to maintain a combo throughout and score 16,000 points or more to get 3 Stars.
Dodge through a hail of missile fire and survive as long as possible without taking a single hit. Attack is the best form of defense: Earn time bonuses by taking out militia drones.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Survive the onslaught for 6:00 minutes or more.
AR Challenge: “Batmobile Combat: One Man Army”
Battle the militia’s drone tank army beneath the bright lights of Panessa Studios. Take out targets quickly without taking damage to achieve the best score.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Get a score of 8,000 points or more.
AR Challenge: “Batmobile Combat: Slumdog Billionaire”
How To Unlock: You unlock this challenge as soon as you complete a couple of the “Campaign for Disarmament” side missions.
Rumble in the ruins against a wide variety of militia drones. The stage is set in the belly of old Gotham as you repel attacks from the ground and sky in a fight for survival.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Get a score of 24,000 points or more.
AR Challenge: “Batmobile Combat: Natural Selection”
Wage war amongst the weeds. With Mambas and Diamondbacks in the field you’ll need to be fast and on target if you want to survive. Mix up Secondary Weapon usage to earn bonus points.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Get a score of 10,000 points or more.

AR Challenge: “Combat: Combo Master”
In this AR Challenge you’ll show your enemies no mercy by chaining together as many devastating moves as you can without breaking your flow for a second.
Tip: To easily jump over rushing enemies and continue your combo takedowns, buy the “Special Combo Multi Ground Takedown” upgrade that lets you easily jump over rushing enemies and simultaneously throwing multiple Batarangs at all nearby enemies.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Achieve a combo of 50 or more.
AR Challenge: “Combat: Tower Defense”
Use your FreeFlow expertise to take down a gang of thugs on the roof terrace of Wayne Plaza. Combine your gadgets and combat moves to maximize your rating.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Get a score of 16,000 points or more.
AR Challenge: “Combat: Gotham Knights (Batman & Nightwing)”
How To Unlock: You unlock this challenge as soon as you complete “Chapter 5: Tonight Ends with Gotham’s Fall”, which is after you’ve destroyed the Arkham Knight’s missile battery and returned to Oracle’s clock tower. Since that’s when you’ll have gained access to 3 different Quickfire Gadgets, which you’re all required to use in one fight during this challenge.
Perfect your dual team combat skills. Reunite the original dynamic duo, Bruce Wayne and Dick Grayson, to defeat the criminals of Gotham City and obtain the highest possible score.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Get a score of 20,000 points or more.

AR Challenge: “Combat: Azrael’s Atonement”
How To Unlock: You unlock this challenge as soon as you complete Azrael’s “Heir to the Cowl” Most Wanted side mission.
Fight as the Order’s angel of vengeance and push your combat skills to the limit. Only perfection is good enough as the challenge will end when taking even a single blow.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Get a score of 30,000 points or more.
AR Challenge: “Predator: Terminal Velocity”
Analyze the enemy threat, then plan your attacks to stay ahead of these well-equipped armed enemies at Grand Avenue Station. Complete all 3 mission objectives to earn 3 Stars.
3 Stars Gold Requirements:
First, take out the militia minigunner with an environment takedown.
Second, perform a fear takedown through a weak wooden wall.
Third, use a remote hacking device takedown point to KO a militia thug.
AR Challenge: “Predator: Smash and Grab”
How To Unlock: You unlock this challenge as soon as you have completed the “Two-Faced Bandit” side mission.
Stop the bank heist in Chinatown. Bring down Two-Face’s crew before they get away with the loot. Performance is evaluated purely on time taken to defeat all of the thugs.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Stop the bank heist in less than 1:15 minute.

AR Challenge: “Predator: Revive and Shine”
How To Unlock: You unlock this challenge as soon as you have progressed into “Chapter 3: It Is Dangerous Out There”, which is after you’ve met up with Commissioner Gordon outside the GCPD Prisoner Detention and drove him to the Clock Tower. Since that’s when you’ll have gained access to doing a Fear Multi-Takedown on 3 enemies.
Test your stealth skills against a squad of armed militia. With a medic providing back up, the enemy won’t stay down for long. Your performance will be rated on number of objectives completed.
3 Stars Gold Requirements: Take no damage during the challenge. Take out the militia Medic last. Perform 2 separate Fear Multi-Takedowns.
AR Challenge: “Predator: Under The Pale Moonlight”
Adapt or perish. Take on the ultimate deployment of armed militia, including one team with optic deflection armor, on the sprawling Panessa Studios rooftop.
3 Stars Gold Requirement: Take out the BOA drone controller last. Use the Voice Synth to KO a target at a weak wall primed with explosive gel. Perform 5 Fear multi-takedowns.
