— CABAL 2 – WIZARD OVERVIEW/TUTORIAL —

Note: This guide is based on the Korean launch version of the game, which provides content up until level 40. The skill names and descriptions are fictional until an official translation is provided. The information reflected in this guide may not be 100% accurate, and is subject to change as the game is updated.

Official description:
This character class had branched off from the class of priests. They’re the ones who had refused to be a part of the Holy Curia or any other religious sects for that matter, and they founded a school soon after becoming independent. They have relatively low vitality and defense, but they can manipulate the energy of the Force and contain them with spells. They attack by casting spells. The higher the level of spell, the more destruction it can cause.They deny to belong to a particular Order.They lack in stamina or armor but they are efficient and have a superior firepower. They are a big support on the battlefield.Their defensive ability is low, because it has a ranged attack, and they have a variety of skills to control powerful destruction. They have the biggest DPS of all classes. .

Introduction:
The Wizard class in CABAL 2 turns out to be quite strategic and challenging, for solo play at least. Group play tends to come down to just standing and nuking. As you may expect, its defense is extremely low, resulting in quick death. To counter this, Wizards have a bunch of utility skills to either get away from the enemy, or stop/slow it in its tracks. Thus, kiting is the name of the game here. It is the highest damage dealer out of all the classes, however, don’t expect to be one-hitting stuff. It has some great AOE skills, which means Wizards can even kite groups of enemies at once. .

Wizard turned out to be a more interesting class than I had expected. Solo play is rather challenging as you constantly have to think and use your utility skills in order to survive. It can get a bit frustrating occasionally, as the slightest mistake can result in a death, especially in Elite monster areas. The skills look great and deal quite a lot of damage, and it’s fun mowing down a big pack of monsters in just a few AOE hits, while watching other classes struggle.

Ice Breaker

Description: Manipulate the force to launch anicy attack on several foes.

Description: Increases the defending ability of the wizard.

Dash

Description: Quickly leap into the distance.

Spiritual

Description: Replenishes the caster’s spiritual essence.

Frostbite

Description: Freezes the caster in a block of ice.

Ice Pool

Description: Casts a pool of ice, holding several enemies captured.

Effect: Freezes the several enemies around the wizard.

Frozen
Available from level 8. No upgrades.
Description: Casts ice on the target, making it unable to move.

Effect: Freezes the selected enemy for a certain time.

De-moralize
Available from level 38. No upgrades.
Description: Shifts monster aggression away from the wizard.
